In other words, the original TV Magazine manga is getting rereleased in Japan in two volumes featuring new cover art. But the covers are the only new material. The inside contents are the same as what we already got translated into English by Viz Media a few years back.

Skipping out on Cary Elwes hamming up and chewing up every single scene he's in would be downright criminal.

The new one feels more like what Nemesis Prime might have looked like had his deco been conceived by Hasbro instead of Takara. A simple "Decepticon Optimus Prime" (Autobot red swapped with Decepticon purple, just like you said) with little creativity.
