Alas, "Alpha Prime" is Primon now. All because no one else connected the dots between him and Dreamwave's Alpha Trion.

There's no evidence or indication that Alpha Trion actually carried the Matrix inside his chest as a proper Matrix bearer, though.

Then again, Galvatron (who was also made from Unicron's power) briefly tried to bear the Matrix right before Scourge did, and it didn't mutate him, just showed him some spooky chanting ghosts.

Well, going by TFTM's logic of Hot Rod being the Matrix's one and only destined Chosen One, none of the other Matrix bearers were chosen by it either, so they were all in the same boat as Ultra Magnus. Even Optimus said that he himself wasn't worthy of the Matrix back when he first received it...
And eventually we may have some other "Hasbr-uh-oh" news to discuss that isn't related to the tariffs, so the topic title may inevitably have to be changed back.
He had no personal agenda in that moment, because he didn't know what was going on or who he himself even was. All he knew was that he saw some stranger in danger and leapt into action to protect her, with no ulterior motive.
