He will never be beholden to someone keeping a muzzle on him.Trump's ego for having his own platform, or Trump's attention obsession for the wider audience. Which will win out?
A) It makes them just like those action movie stars! They're the hero! Everyone else is dumb NPCs who can't see the truth like them because they're so special and smart! I mean TV doesn't lie, right?Well, they are under the belief that they themselves have figured it out, and some kooks who claim to be insiders who have all the info are instantly believed to be telling the truth, so...
Except, there IS malice and intent behind the suffering of the people. Billionaires and their politicals lickspittles desperately want to rebuild the slave states of old, and are conciously and deliberately choosing suffering to ensure it happens.B) The thought that the other adults in the room can't control everything scares the ever-living crap out of them, so rather than believing the world is a result of random chance, anything bad must
So every little thing that can go wrong is deliberately billionaire's fauilt? They would intentionally not pay for internet upgrades for years and pocket the cash because they want to cause suffering, and not because it just happens to make them richer? Bezos works his people to death because he wants to hurt them intentionally, and not because he only sees them as replacable cogs that aren't even human and take money away from making him richer?Except, there IS malice and intent behind the suffering of the people. Billionaires and their politicals lickspittles desperately want to rebuild the slave states of old, and are conciously and deliberately choosing suffering to ensure it happens.
The same kind of thinking that leads to "everything is God's plan".B) The thought that the other adults in the room can't control everything scares the ever-living crap out of them, so rather than believing the world is a result of random chance, anything bad must be a plot. After all, if you haven't done anything wrong, nothing bad should happen to you, unless someone else causes it to happen.
They're not deliberately choosing suffering. They're choosing whatever makes them the most money in the shortest time. The suffering is a side effect that most of them just don't care about. They don't give the lower class enough thought to really care about it.Except, there IS malice and intent behind the suffering of the people. Billionaires and their politicals lickspittles desperately want to rebuild the slave states of old, and are conciously and deliberately choosing suffering to ensure it happens.
Every little thing? Naw, of course not.So every little thing that can go wrong is deliberately billionaire's fauilt? They would intentionally not pay for internet upgrades for years and pocket the cash because they want to cause suffering, and not because it just happens to make them richer? Bezos works his people to death because he wants to hurt them intentionally, and not because he only sees them as replacable cogs that aren't even human and take money away from making him richer?
Yes a lot of them would legally like to have slave states back, but to them they probably feel like they're already in one. Jail labor, wage slavery, etc already gives them the benefits without having to actually house and feed their "slaves" - outsource and let the rest of society handle it. But, again, Zuckerman does not go out of his way to hurt John Smith in Tallahassee Florida - the man only exists as numbers to him.
Yes, there's issues with Billionaires. Are they in a conspiracy to control the government? No, their "unenlightened" self-interest just happens to line up and converge in such a way that it seems like they're doing it intentionally. I hate to say this, but those on the left can convince themselves just as easily of conspiracies as the right if they let themselves... politics does not exclude one from following their biases and looking for patterns where there may not be any. Hell, like we've been talking about, Musk is a living example of Hanlon's Razor: Theoretically you could attribute his faffing about to a masterminded 5D chess plot to bring down Twitter because it was a strong organization point for leftists(compared to other social media) and by taking Twitter's reputation and usability it leaves primarily right-wing sites left. But as we saw from his text messages during the lawsuit and his tweets and actions since, he literally has no idea WTF he's doing and his tanking twitter is due to incompetency, not malice.
While we do need to watch the rich and what they're doing and fight back etc, we should be wary to not fall into the same traps that the "other side" does.
Semantics. Powerful people (billionaires) are working hand-in-hand with other powerful people (the government) to further erode our rights for their mutual benefit. That's close enough to a conspiracy to me.But that's not conspiracy, it's convergent behavior.
Pundit Matt Walsh is fond of exaggeration and twisting the truth, but on Monday night’s The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, he told a whopper so big that even the host called bullshit. He claimed that millions of American children had been put on hormone blockers.
But when Rogan’s producer weighed in with a fact check that proved Walsh was lying, the Daily Wire host was forced to admit that he had made it up.
