Escalating anti-LGBT+ hate and the terrorism it inspires

Knock on wood, but one thing Trump fortunately doesn't seem interested in doing is getting involved in any wars, so he probably has no reason to care about the military's effectiveness anyway.
Hate to be a downer, but I remember people touting GW Bush as a “peaceful”, non-interventionist president back in 2000, and look how that turned out.

At least we have four years of precedent for the idea that Trump isn't interested in deploying the military against other countries.

Past is prologue, not epilogue. Trump may or may not deploy the military abroad in a conflict. I wouldn't make any assumptions that he'll refrain.

Military will be to busy fighting fellow Americans to worry about invading foreign soil at the rate we're going. They are already talking about using the National Guard from red states to enforce government policy in blue states. 'Bout as close to civil war as we've been in a century and a half.

Case in point, the strategy outline from the next potential head of the FTC.

So punish companies for policing speech on their own platforms while simultaneously policing speech if it involves trans issues .. gotcha. Way to double standard there, you fascist hack....

What does gender affirming care for minors have to do with military policy. We need regulations to stop congress critters from adding that sort of thing to unrelated bills.

While I don't like what it does, this does appear to be an appropriate place for it, rather than a sneaky rider in the bill.

From what I can gather its a defense bill, essentially a military budget bill, that says what the money can and cannot be used for. They are essentially saying the healthcare portion of the budget for service members can not be used for gender affirming care for there children.

It doesn't make the outcome less despicable though.

You are right. It was a Paladin post, I should have read the article before jumping on my soapbox. Still bad, but bad in a limited way.

While it's infuriating, considering the fact that Disney pulled the Moon Girl and the Devil Dinosaur episodes featuring a trans-athlete, I'm not surprised. Pissed, yes, but not surprised.

Texas HB1655 if (When) passed will cut funding from any school where a teacher uses a students' preferred pronouns.

That would be a hilarious oversight (until we learn that it was totally intentional and an excuse to yank all school funding from the budget), but no.
