Of note, if you see the above, this is what it says at the bottom of the page:

FM5YJt1.png

and in the fine print on the side:

The first $41,300/$15,000 from a person/multicandidate committee (“PAC”) will be allocated to the DNC. The next $3,300/$5,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to Harris for President’s Recount Account. The next $510,000/$255,000 from a person/PAC will be split equally among the Democratic state parties from these states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, and WY. Any additional funds will be allocated to the DNC, subject to applicable contribution limits. A contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant by contacting [email protected]. The allocation formula above may change if following it would result in an excessive contribution.

What I also really find funny, is right above that is this:

Whomever was in charge of updating the webpage clearly didn't do "Replace All" when they updated it.

The entire Democratic Party ought to rebrand as a revolutionary army, because it's literally the only thing left they can do that will make any difference at this point.

once again the Democrats response to defeat is to move further right.

Trans people are getting thrown under the bus.

I don’t want to be the freak show party

Have they LOOKED at the other side? Side note, I am not a 'freak'

Also the midterms are 2 years away, we'll see if the DNC is still going down that route then. I also don't see how the last campaign shifted 'too far to the left'. They were largely silent on LGBT+ issues, rather noncommittal to pro-Israel on the issues in Gaza and their economic policies were largely 'maintain the status quo'. Once again, they lost on economics, not on the other stuff. People were hurting, mostly due to the insane levels of income inequality combined with inflation(which, while had slowed down, hadn't really lessened the burden on people working paycheck to paycheck), and the Democrats didn't seize on that and offer a solution to the root cause of said economic issues, which allowed the Republicans to continue their lies about trickle down economics(a great driver of said income inequality) and allowed them to scapegoat migrants as the cause of said economic issues. If anything they went to far to the right on the economy.(just not so far right that they could just make up a fantasy world like the Republicans did). This lead to a lot of Democrats simply not voting.

in case you thought there might be a sign Democrats would actually FIGHT BACK against Republican fascism, the first trans member of Congress won't even put up a fight for her own ******* human rights.

Paladin.... Things are more complicated than that. IF she throws a fit over said rules, she will be censured and the Republicans will use her actions to demonize Trans people even more. On top of that it COULD potentially open up expulsion hearings for her to be removed from Congress(don't think the Republicans won't try to do that, they are likely WAITING for her to say or do something to give them the excuse). I think McBride understands this. It sucks, it really does, but there is a time and place to fight back, and in her case it will be with her vote and her words on the House floor.

I'm sure that Mrs. McBride will just use the unisex restrooms until 2026 when (hopefully) the Democrats take back the House and change the rule.

Too many people, including parts of my own community, think all we're good for is being martyrs to the cause.

Despite the appeal, there are far more efficient and effective ways to fight a battle than just throwing yourself on the first spear leveled your way.
This is an individual who came through a hard campaign and even with gender identity politics being what they are, managed to defeat their opponent. I am going to give them benefit of the doubt and believe they have a strategy in mind and a plan for pursuing an appropriate agenda.

Besides, taking the wind from the sails of the GOP and denying them the culture wars fight that has become their bread and butter is always good. We need to stop giving them opportunities to take the headlines. Turns out any press is good press when it comes to the party of Trump. Starve them of the attention.

Yeah, they desperately wanted to turn her into a sideshow to distract everyone from Trump's disastrous cabinet picks. She was smart not to let them.
