He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

I'd love to see BraveStarr done in any kind of line. I never was sure if it was as big as GI Joe, MotU or Transformers though.
Not really.

The show coming out a year after the toys probably didn't help, though that didn't stop other lines from getting big.

Got a notification from Mattel that something will be delivered today.

I have to assume it's Frog Man, because as far as I'm aware it's the only thing I've ever ordered from them.

-ZacWilliam, I just was kinda taken by the fact that a random arm from a sticker on a toy I had as a kid is now it's own figure.

And yet I'll just bet they're charging you for a full priced figure.

Some of the “New Eternia” interpretations are looking rather sharp. I’m hoping that, given another year or two, Origins might start to incorporate New Eternia elements into character refreshes. As is, I hope that Snakemen continues into next year and give some of those nifty 200x variations. Snake Tesla is already a “prepaint” of the 200x iteration. Still needing a 200x Rattlor and a Khan with the full cowling.

Looks like my next batch of figures (King Hiss, 200x Randor) are due the end of the month. Hopefully not cancelled like my order for the Netflix Savage Eternia Merman. What’s really sucky about that is that, by the time I was notified, any other options have dried up for that assortment. Except for dropping for a full case at EE, but I’m not dropping $55+ for just one figure in this situation.

The Netflix CG show was really the only piece of media I cared for outside of the toys. If there were still an ongoing comic, I might check it out.

As far as toys go, I feel like I have everything I really wanted...maybe Grizzlor or Bashasaurus... but I can't think of much else I want that I don't already have in some form.

EDIT:

Oh, there's a Masterverse comic that isn't Revelation? Why wasn't I told? I'm going to have to check it out. Darkhorse instead of DC? Is this ongoing or a mini-series?

I am unsure as to if I will try for the Minicomic Man-E-Faces or not. I wanted one (Origins style) and it's probably the cheapest option, but I'm not as happy with how the faces actually work (I had the first run as a kid, so I know I'm biased).

It's a 4 issue miniseries. It's basically a anthology of different universes inspired by other things. Horror comics, Sin City, Groo...all sorts of different takes and art styles on He-Man.

Best Buy is clearing out some toys, and among them, is the Hasbro Fortnite Victory Royale Raptors. Both the yellow and orange/pink versions. Price is 12.99 (half off).

I got an orange. My King Hiss (due next week, hopefully) needs a steed of his own, and the chunk of meat is a great looking accessory.

They also have both flavors of Battlecat for less than $13, plus Masterverse Skelegod for $13

I think I found out what the Secret of Castle Grayskull really is, and it is more horrifying than we'd ever imagined...

And semi-related, as a kid I often used anything that happened to be at hand for a He-Man add-on, rather it was a Transformer or a plastic dinosaur. It seems to me that for my modern 'Origins' based setup (mostly arranged in the den for when my nephew comes over) that the Dungeons and Dragons monster figures coming out would make excellent creatures to go around this and maybe a future Snake Mountain. I could easily see that Beholder stuck in Snake Mountain's lower levels...

This just reminded me of how, despite having Castle Greyskull when I was a kid, I'd always try to recreate it whenever there was sand to play in.

Results varied, as in, they were usually some variation of "poor." I think part of the problem is that various forms of fiction had led me to believe sand is a more structurally sound building material than it actually is.

I did that too, though both sand, and the Slime Pit, may not work well with 'Origins' figures and I'm sure they wouldn't work with the Masterverse stuff. Getting either out of all those small joints would be a mess...

Though that still doesn't excuse removing Kobra Khan's spray nozzle and replacing it with some plastic thing...

Awesome. Wish it had the mic but that was an odd gimmick in the first place

I had the original Snake Mountain as a kid, and honestly, compared to Grayskull (which I also had) it wasn't great, there wasn't much to 'do' with it, and I often didn't have batteries to work the electronics. Something like this that I can set up next to Grayskull for my nephew or silly photos will work fine, and I can use the two sides external to be both Snake Mountain and the Fright Zone (a bit of a mental repurposing I did back then to compensate for what I didn't have, since I had no idea what that big face had to do with snakes).

What I did back then and may redo now but even better, was to set Grayskull and Snake Mountain side by side, making a very big set of scenery for ideas.

I have a mostly incomplete snake mountain and it's missing the microphone completely. I do think this one is really good.
