Hero Mashers Returns! (Hasbro Mixmashers)

Since Playmates went back to their tried and true playbook of TMNT product styles, they re-introduced “Mix-N-Match” figures. Obviously, Hasbro is following their lead again and reintroducing their own take: Mixmashers!
Slightly smaller than the old Hero Mashers, but seemingly sporting more points of connection and more articulation, Amazon Australia has already posted images of the new line. Featuring stalwarts Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and Optimus Primal (with Starscream featured as a co-sell), all seem to be sporting their evergreen looks. Prime and Megatron are more premium offerings with more extra parts to combine with. No word yet on if Hasbro will be releasing other brands under this segment.
Look for this to show up en masse next spring.

Question is, which line gets the Power Rangers?

Interesting that Megatron comes with a jetpack clearly meant for Optimus's "Arc Armor" while Optimus comes with Super Megatron's arm cannon.

They seem fun enough, especially when mixed with other items from other properties, but nothing I feel like I need. Like Coffehorse said, if these were styled so that you could mix and match "generics" that fit in stylistically with Generations figures, I'd be all over it, but the more child-friendly look isn't really for me.

Is this aesthetic even what children want, or is it just a signal for parents who want to pick something at a glance and don't want to slow down to read an age label?

Frankly, this kind of play pattern is mainly geared more towards kindergartners, kids who are young enough to not care about aesthetics beyond looking "fun".

That way, you have to buy both so you can "mix" and match their parts properly.

Kind of like a semi-forced play pattern.
