After Kage had brought her up to speed, Patch decided to share what she'd seen with the group. It was a bit difficult for her, since the memories now seemed like an unpleasant out-of-body experience, and she struggled to remember the finer details. But she tried her best to describe it all: the auxiliary base that had self-destructed, the infinitely expanding room full of experiments, the cylinders she'd found with elderly captives inside, and the room with the young girl and her "teacher."

Beathra gave a warm, quiet nod to Patch's statement and turned his attention to the details of their current predicament.

"The children will have to wait for now." He said. "If they are here, then our immediate goal should still be to stop the station from falling. Alas, I have no skill with computers. I could, perhaps, call upon the air to slow us, but... well... I am no god. It would be no great help."
"I doubt I'd be able to do much, either," Patch replied. "Sorry, this is just so sudden... and after everything else that's happened, I'm having trouble thinking clearly..."

“Leave the tech to me. I can handle whatever we find. With a little help from Friday.”

Suddenly, everyone heard three chimes echo through the AlphaNumeric Park. Elizilah snapped to attention with a confused look on her face, "Strange, I almost never get a video summon." She looked around and then walked to a wall. Tapping it three times, a viewscreen appeared with a woman in a dark blue dress and and opaque visor. Patch recognized the woman from before and the rest knew this to be Correspondent 251. In an emotionless tone, she stated, "Chief Librarian, I am alerting you that droids are coming to escort you and Sue'zhan. You will be coming to me while Sue'zhan will be going to the Chief Apothecary."

Patch seemed to take notice of Elizilah for the first time. Chief Librarian...?

"Can we trust her?" she whispered to Beathra.

Beathra gave a surreptitious glance in Patch's direction, but rather speaking, she heard his voice in her head.

She has been trustworthy so far. It drifted through her mind as wind through leaves. But it is difficult to say what anyone who works here would do if we forced their loyalties.

Aloud, he spoke to Kage, "Stay your words Omega, I doubt they will listen to us. But at least we are forewarned." This last he said with a meaningful heft of his staff.

Destron cracked her neck as she stood up. It was a nice rest between battles, could have used a really big breakfast as well... alas the earlier thoughts of samitches will seemingly have to tide her over.

Looking to Beathra, Omega nodded in ascent and sighed as he surreptitiously took hold of Retribution beneath his cloak (having taken it back from where Patch had left it after she woke up). In a similarly low tone, he replied to the sage.

”Agreed my friend. I am glad you are here to keep me in check. Though i do not wish to let Correspondent 251 gain custody over Sue’zhan. She is… unnaturally emotionless.”

Elizilah crossed her arms, "I don't know why you can't come here. Furthermore, I don't know why Sue'zhan is being split off separately." Correspondent 251 replied, "The Chief Apothecary made a direct request." She then paused, before continuing, "I'm telling you that you're coming. I'm asking you not to resist. That is all."

Once the video call ended, Sue'zhan started moving. "We need to go, now. Under no circumstances do I intend to deal with the Chief Apothecary."

Things are moving fast. And if the situation gets rough, I'm currently entirely defenseless. If I don't take this opportunity now, I might not get a second.

Patch approached Elizilah. "You are the one she addressed as Chief Librarian? Pleased to meet you, I'm actually a fellow librarian, haha. And as someone once told me, 'if you've found a librarian, you've found a friend.' Um... this may seem like an odd time to ask, but can you help me with something?"

Elizilah's expression lit up, "Ah, so they still have librarians on the ground. Been quite a while since I've been down there. So, what did you need?"

"Uh, well, being a stranger here, there's a lot about this place that I don't know. I was hoping I could borrow a copy of your..." Patch paused as she had to stop herself before saying 'most powerful spellbook,' "...most respected text. I'm sorry I can't explain more about why I need it, but let's just say I think it could be a big help for us here."

“This is making the ‘Chief Apothecary’ sound less caring and more shady. Could she somehow be involved in genetic tampering..” Kage rubbed the pointed chin piece of his sealed Cowl. “I am concerned for Judeen and Stobert. She vouched for us to the guards when we arrived…” Again he trailed of, his concern obvious. Reflexivel he flicked open a pair of Omegarangs.

”Friday, are you alright?”

As Elizilah stepped away, Friday slowly faded in. "I'm fine, just didn't want to be visible while Correspondent 251 was on screen. I don't have a full map but I've tried to chart out the smoothest path to one of the manual overrides. So, I'm ready to go when you are."

When Elizilah returned, she was carrying dense tome. Handing the book to Patch, she said, "This is the first copy of the math and physics principles taught within YPNR. It's written in a conversational tone so it's not quite as dense as it looks. I hope that helps since there's probably not much time before they arrive."

"Ah, thank you kindly," Patch replied. With the weight of it in her hands, the book gave her a sense of orderliness and rationality. It felt quite different to hold than the sort of books she had, prior to recent events, been accustomed to carrying around. But... that might not be a bad thing...

She looked to the others. Wherever they needed her to go, she was ready.

“Your caution was a good choice Friday,” Omega said softly. “I just wanted to make sure you were alright. With Oracle cutoff, you in my receiver, events spiraling into more dangerous territory. I…” He trailed off, not wanting to finish that line of thought.

”Anyway, i suggest we stay as a unit for now. With no other leads on the whereabouts of the magi kids, for now, and a time limit. We need to head off to this manual override and steer this floating city back onto a safer track.”

Sue'zhan was on the move. Walking to a hexagonal floor panel, she pulled out a tablet and typed in a code. As soon as it opened up, she quickly leaped in. "We need to get moving!" Once everyone was in, the panel closed behind them. The path descended down a ladder to a long corridor. Dimly lit by lights recessed into the wall panels, it weaved left and right as it slowly inclined. Passing by multiple intersections, Sue'zhan came to a stop. "Here's where we come to the first gap in my information. We need to decide if we're going left or right."

Destron's eyes fear not the darkness and as such, she casts a long glance in both directions trying to see anything that might show which is the right path to take. ... not at all looking to try and impress this new interesting woman.

Dee could see that the two hallways looked like most of the other hallways they already passed. However, the one on the left slightly descended down while the one on the right slightly ascended up.
