My only nitpick off the top of my head is I'm not sure why they tried to re-write the story to basically have Dr. Cain dead by the end of this game.

Yeah, that was kind of a pain to deal with...

My only other (minor) grievance with the game is the way they changed the capsule placement. Like, I'm not entirely against the idea -- doing it for Hard Mode, for example, might have been neat -- but the original game was just borderline perfection to me, so much that any kind of change like that is like smearing your fingers on a work of art.

MegaMan Zero 3 and 4
...Never actually played them. In fact I apparently still don't own Zero 3 for GBA.

Definitely recommend 3, it's my favorite of the series. Only one I played to mastery, too.

What's Tavis Maiden's writing pedigree? Hope he's a fan of the series. Or at least a consumate fan professional like Flynn, who wasn't a Megaman fan but did all the research to make his writing feel like he was a fan from the start.

Also, you know about Secret Level anthology having a Megaman episode?

They're from the makers of Love, Death and Robots, which were practically video game stories (like kaiju arena or the werewolf soldiers).

The animation will be great. The story would be... a slice of the game story. I'm just wondering how many robot masters we'll see and if they'll be treated as fodder.

I'll admit I've never heard of Tavis Maiden before. Looking him up it looks like he's done comics for Regular Show and Grumpy Cat.

It's not exactly the most impressive resume. But, this is Udon. The art and coloring will probably make the book a fun pick up regardless.

I never watched Regular Show but I know there are epic moments. This Tavis might seem like he's writing kids stuff but maybe he can turn some of his Megaman stories into some serious stuff, but with some fun.

Do you guys remember the 4 issues Brian Augustyn written Megaman series from Dreamwave? That was... I don't remember how it ended.

I just remember that he introduced new Robot Masters like Express Man (speed) and some sort of boxy multiplying Man.

Hope Tavis does better. Since the covers show Robot Masters already present, we'll have adventures after Megaman 11 and not the retelling from Flynn's Archie run.

It ended with a tease for a Megaman X comic that never came to be, because Dreamwave imploded.

...I swear, Meagman X is just cursed. Every time it feels like we're JUST about to get a comic or something, something happens to stop it from happening. I kind of felt the same way with Archie.

I’m getting the feeling that this will be a “slice of life” in the (early) life of Rock and not a glimpse into the wider world. I do like what they’ve shown so far, and I hope we see more robot masters.
Basically, I want this to be good. Is that too much to ask?

I think it'll be good for what it is (calling him "Rock" pre-Megafication is a good start), but won't likely be much more than that...

...unless, as I suspect, some of these wind up being test pilots to see which ones are worth sinking more money into to go to series.

But, that's just a theory... a game Amazon Video theory.

Well with a broken leg, I'm kinda stuck sitting around a bit, so I figured why not play through some MegaMan games?

First up is MegaMan X. Beat and should have all the trophies.

Okay so X2 is done. Should have all trophies. The Covert Ops one was tricky but I got it.

Working on X3. Not a fan of some of these trophies for it. "Don't get any ride armors and beat 'secret boss' without using any special weapons"

Yeah because I totally want to do that. I ended up doing it to get the trophy, then resetting the game to go beat them normal.

And of course I have to beat the game without getting the hyper chip. I may as well since It's been so long I forgot after beating Sigma's second form you had to jump up the wall to avoid the lava. Died and didn't feel like doing all that over just yet. Once I got that, it's on to X4!
