Looks like one of those test shots that was made from whatever surplus plastic was laying around.

I do like the lighter grey on Astrotrain and those colors on Blitzwing look really nice. I skipped Blitzwing due to already having the Titans Return version, but I already have the other 2 molds. If this ends up as much as the Bridge Crew set, then no way.

You can also see little glimpses of characters from Masterforce, Victory, Armada, and G1 in this teaser trailer.

From what little can be deduced from this teaser and its name, the project may end up being just a promotional video celebrating the 40th anniversary.

This thing has HasLab Unicron beated by a wide margin as the single most expensive HasTak-made converting Transformer that isn't a lucky draw figure.

660,000 JPY = a whopping $4521.66 USD!

My 2 questions are:
1) How big is it? Is it larger than a regular manju netsuke, or 1:1 scale?
2) Is it made of metal? Doesn't look like typical plastic construction. If this was all(-most all) metal and small in size, I could see the intricacy and cost of materials ratcheting up the price.

Not that I'm in the market to buy one, that is WAY out of my price range, but just speculating on why the price is what it is...

because this is clearly being made for the type of people who spend thousands of dollars on fashion accessories (and these are made to order items too, it's not a mass produced product - making something in smaller quantities = more expensive)

still looks like jive tbh and $4k is ridiculous because i think there's like 0 crossover between 'people who would spend thousands of dollars on a fashion accessory and transformers fans'

I would guess that this is a hand/traditionally-made and engineered (using various disciplines) metal netsuke, made in Japan to order by local craftspeople, hence the price.

This is an "azuki bean-flavoured ice lolly" that turns into a samurai robot. It's ¥13,750 and can be preordered here or at an overpriced pre-order at Amazon Japan.

It could be used as a rival to the Transformers crossover "Gari-Gari Kun" robot perhaps? ;)

Also, Bandai are releasing a "Rubic's Cube Robo".

Once again, this is a rival competitor company's product that has nothing to do with Transformers.
