I don't recall seeing any spines when I saw it at the Tokyo TF event. This isn't a remolded toy. The "new" head is rumoured to be originally designed for a possible Sludge toy that was going to be remolded from Grimlock (so the Sludge head was included in the Grimlock mold sprue/mold)....have they ever shown is Megatron's dino-back yet?
Seriously, he better have the spines, or what are they even doing here?

One theory I heard was that crossovers and collabs are partially dependent on how much the other company is willing to pay. Godzilla's rights holder Toho may not have been willing to put that much money into this project which meant TT couldn't really do any remoulding and had to make do with what existing moulds they had.He does not have the spines.
-ZacWilliam, they probably would have been difficult to do given how the dino's upper body transformer but yess it is still a major miss.
If that's the case, they should have resurrected the Energon Cruellock mold again. Even if it's not the traditional Godzilla, at least it's designed to be *A* Godzilla. One theory I heard was that crossovers and collabs are partially dependent on how much the other company is willing to pay. Wow! Kamen Rider finally got his own Megazord!Besides, if you really need your Godzilla to transform, there's always...this...
