Either way: why do any of us care?

Edit: Alright, so, thought; he repeated it because he's not a native speaker of italian... and someone (or multiple someones.) in his entourage used it so often that he thought it was the correct word.

That's not better, but it's a plausible reason.

Anyway, thanks for the article. It's sad in many places but one thing that was interesting to me was that there was a transgender Republican representative (who was unfortunately silenced when she spoke out against anti-trans legislation). I suppose, even in a small way, that not all Republicans are the same?

Yea, Zooey Zephyr, while from a red state, is no Republican. She also won her bid for re-election so when Montana's next legislative session starts, she will no longer be censured(at least until she defends her trans brothers and sisters again).
