Stupid expensive though.
It's December and I want to buy myself something stupid, but I'm on a low budget these days and I'm out of ideas.

This guy really could use some plug on forearm parts ... just peg into the ends of silver and gold's barrels and then you'd have hands and you could sell it as a rocket punch gimmick... hell I'd keep going and g1 devestator a bunch of extra parts on him to make him look like ..well better
Aside from the skinny arms, this is about on par with a scramble city combiner without the add-on parts.

Yeah I hope they have that plastered all over the box. jive’s awesome.
It looks like a decent Shockwave to me. The alt mode is an unexpected choice, but the broad strokes of the transformation are amusingly close to how a normal Shockwave would work. It's kinda clever.
The idea is hilariously random and I love it for that. It's just not something I need.
It also explains why shockwave isn’t in season 3 onwards.
The lack of the leg curves and the backpack kinda dock points off for me.

The contrast between the earth racing decorations and the blocky angular cybertronian car is pretty jarring.

So the dudes that make every character they touch blocky, borderline Dreamwave chunk monsters made Tidal Wave. And he has CLAMP proportions. They have to be doing this on purpose.
How are they so bad at this? The original toy's proportions are kinda awkward but it does not look like that.
