Aside from the huge hands (which aren't that bad), they nailed it. And I assume the hands are like that so they can flatten out for the alt mode, for some reason.

I guess the Megatron arm is kinda cool but I gotta be honest, it’s just stupid fluff that you’ll try out once and then forget about when the trailer, hands and articulation could have benefitted from actual upgrades.

They can still do a kit for that, but I guess they figured with how well sales of the comic are, that there was a justifiably large enough market to put this set out in.

A Bayverse version would be more interesting and fitting. Skybound really picked the most boring versions of the characters to do this concept.

Skybound isn't terrible but the robo-gore and fighting has gotten stale because it's gone on for too long with not much else happening . It reminds me of that hideously drawn IDW GI JOE vs Transformers book where the plot resembles children bashing their action figures against each other. I also found that book stupid.

I get the feeling they've already used up all the big ideas they had going into this. They wanted the license, they had just enough ideas to make a successful pitch, But they did everything right away and now they're figuring out where they want to go with it.

To be fair, if I were Hasbro, I'd have given it to any company who was able to come up with a halfway decent pitch over keeping the IP at IDW.
