I have LG-EX Black Convoy to scratch that itch. One less trailer to get tossed in a drawer and forgotten about.
Speaking of which, Prime's trailer looks so empty without Optimus burning forests down.

I also missed out on the two releases of the RTS mold as Scourge somehow.

$33.99 my dude

yeah (some of) the non-studio series voyagers are $31.99 but you did say studio series in your first post
Fair enough. Around here, Studio Series typically ran cheaper than Generations, so seeing them priced higher than Kingdom (29.98 at my local store) was a bit of a surprise.

Still doesn’t explain that ABSURD price for the Vintage Ultras, though…

I imagine that it is *harder* to produce something relatively old than something new even with a similar parts count and plastic budget, simply because methods might have changed that impose different limitations. I wonder if things like that are part of the reason? I guess I don't know the context of whether there are other, similarly complex toys getting straight reissues atm.

Maybe smaller production runs? I don't think that the market for reissues was ever particularly large as compared to new product.

I haven't even seen any of the reissues on shelves since Rattrap, so I kinda forgot they were still a thing.

They're clogging shelves here but there aren't actually that many units. The boxes are ridiculously large for the size of the contents.

Also, holy crap, the madlads finally did it.

GOt studio series Perceptor today. Decent mold but with how simple the transformation is, I'd have liked wrists. Would also like to see a toy deco with teal and chrome/silver. I don’t dislike the blue but it’s a bit dull

It's probably for the best TBH. The blue it comes in currently is washed-out and desaturated but if they made it the proper screaming teal, it'd probably discolor within a year or something

Oh, I couldn't tell what was supposed to be different. This is just "make it like the toy" jive, if anything he's darker than the SS toy in the movie and the movie is the source material. This is yellow-eyes Masterpiece Soundwave dumb. If Hasbro wants to release a toy deco sometime in the future on Pulse or something that's fine, but there's no excuse watering down a line that's explicitly sold on screen accuracy just to remind you of an older, worse toy.

Looking at him more closely, all the blue aside from the fist covers also appear to be POM plastic, which doesn't color as nicely as other plastics

They maybe the Shattered Glass line if that doesn't get canned by the IDW contract ending. Like, half of those guys were just Diaclone/Microchange colors, the other half swapping colors with their opposite faction counterpart and like, 1% original colors (though the original colors were generally pretty great)

For what it's worth, Perceptor's teal usually photographs far more vividly than that digibash, but it's still moot because every other toy of Perceptor has used that shade and it's nice to get a single toy that doesn't.
