Nightwatcher 6 is out. I wasn't sure if this was going to be ongoing or limited, but the last page says "to be concluded." Maybe it just means this arc, but I'm kinda hoping it concludes the NW comics so the whole gamg can get back together in the main book again.

And I also want to know what's going on with Alopex. I haven't gotten any of the Mutant Nation comics. Should I? Is she in there?

Mutant Nation is basically another shot at a TMNT Universe style anthology comic where they follow different characters around for different arcs. So far, it's been dealing with what Raphael was up to, before he got thrown in prison in the main book, which was mostly saving the Mutanimals. And Casey working with Karai and the Foot Clan and dealing with all her gang and demonic problems. It's a good book and I recommend picking it up if you're interested, but no Alopex so far.

As far as where Alopex is right now...I want to say they mentioned that she was still working in her soup kitchen in Mutant Town with Angel. But, I'm not sure where I read that off the top of my head, so I'm not sure if that's true or something my brain just made up. I don't think she's had a major appearance since the soft reboot started. That kind of makes sense, since they kind of wanted to go back to basics for a bit. But, I think she'll be showing up sooner or later. It might just take some time.

Found this at Target today.

Cross-sale on. Back. I already have a vintage Super Shredder. Splinter looks like original vintage Splinter that I already have only with a different paint job. So really, the only other one I'd probably want would be Tokka if I ever see one.

Out of the box. It comes with a headstone-shield, a spider-grappling hook and a skull and spine club...you know...for children!

FYI, as part of Amazon's Spring Sale Event, they have the reissue/recast Technodrome for 51% off (making it about $40)
Cool that they reduced the price like they reduced the size.

Ergh, seriously, why not the Sewer Playset they're doing instead, if any of them? That one had more room to spare!

Oh, you mean "why not the Sewer Playset" as far as shrinking playsets instead of "why not the Sewer Playset" as far as why am I buying the Technodrome instead of the Sewer Playset. Okay, I mis-understood.

Well, I can understand hating having the playset shrunk down. It is a kind of a bummer.

On the other hand, I don't really have space for this thing as it is. I honestly don't know where I'm going to put this as it is. But in any case, having gotten any kind of Technodrome playset for $40 after never having had any other TD toy, it's hard for me to complain.

I'm really not sure the shrinkage was intentional. I think Playmates did a "quick and dirty" recast with a vintage toy as the base. The same thing has cropped up with assorted KOs over the decades.

I still have a crap ton a stickers to apply, but I have it assembled. I just hope I don't need to disassemble it too much to apply said stickers. Either way, I think this may take a while.

You won't hear me saying that. I mean, it's kinda nice in an arts and crafts kinda way. Just the slightest difference in how precise you are in your sticker placements kinda makes your toy wholly unique. But then there's sometimes where you're looking at three whole sheets of stickers that need to be put on a rather large toy and...yeah...it can be a bit of work.

Even if they're Hasbro foil stickers? ;)

I mean, fair for your needs, and it's definitely at a much better price -- I'd love to get one myself, if I had the room.

But watching reviews and stuff, it's how non-functional with the figures it ends up becoming as a result that gets me. And the original already required cheating for their toy photography!

I'm really not sure the shrinkage was intentional. I think Playmates did a "quick and dirty" recast with a vintage toy as the base. The same thing has cropped up with assorted KOs over the decades.

Strangely, the tubes are still compatible with the original Sewer Playset tubes, which means the new one should work, from what I remember seeing. So that seems like it must have been intentional on some level.

I think there was some other changes made? I don't remember on that front, though.
