Rebel is pretty reprehensible in their views and "brutally arrested" is an exaggeration, but one of their correspondents was walking next to the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada asking her questions, a plaineclothes cop stepped into his path so they slightly bumped into each other, and then the cops manhandled and arrested him because that was apparently "assaulting a police officer."
The Deputy PM saw this and just kept walking even though it was a blatantly bogus charge by the police.
