It's amazing how for years we waited for 'a' Jetfire/Arcee/Unicron etc and now there are OPTIONS...

As far as the shield handle, I have a lot of Prize Inside adapters from Shapeways, but that's not an option anymore, which is sad because they work great. I won't be getting rid of them...if I sold the bot I use them on, I'm removing them FIRST.

At BotCon 2014, Greg Sepelak and Trent Troop were selling a line of accessory toys that consisted of little weapons that could be assembled to form miniature animals, and one of these pieces was an adapter designed to let the wind vane be held as a shield.

This was around the start of when Hasbro began cracking down on the presence of third party toys being sold in the dealer room, and the two had had a go at it trying to convince Hasbro that their products weren't third party Transformers since they neither transformed at all nor were based on any of Hasbro's IP. They just had a similar compatibility in the use of 5mm ports, which seem to make them similar enough to third party toys in Hasbro's eyes at the time.

I can't remember what the name of their line was, unfortunately. And I missed out on getting a wind vane shield adapter for myself.

Oh no, 5mm ports... I'm sure NO ONE else uses those...

Takara's 1984 Blockman line, sold in the the US by Revell in 1985 as Robotech Robolinks. A series of interlocking robot figures and armor/weapon/vehicle parts that used standardized 5mm ports 3 years before they started seeing common use on Targetmaster Transformers.

(The Force 22 Robolink Warrior was my stand-in Megatron for years)

I'm sure there's also a fair handful of official Transformers weapons and accessories that have a hole and a peg configured like that, but it's the proportions/distance that gets tricky. Plus, having to wade through hundreds of the things in the ol' accessory box to find that specific combo takes forever.

I've not transformed my Super Megatron in some time. I prefer his flight mode, but the tank mode isn't bad either.

I really like his flight mode. It's like if Animated Megs and Bayverse Megs merged.
His tank mode is a total "well I guess" sort of mode, but it actually manages to work? It's got just enough style to pull its nonsense off.

The flight mode is the best mode, but then the original Galvatron was a plane, the tank mode is pretty much a offical, fan mode
