What's the metal Vehicon plate on the right Trypticon?

Why is the Brunt on the right missing his cannon? Just wasn't included, or is there a story there?
Brunt got blunted.
Clearly a Autobot got a lucky shot in and the cannon was blown away leaving nothing behind
Just wasn't included. I bought two G1 Trypticons on eBay that were each missing things. I was able to make 1 complete and the other now is just here for looks. I'm actually thinking of doing some 3D printed parts to customize the incomplete one. The parts would be removable so I don't permanently alter a G1 toy, but parts to enhance him and make him look a bit unique. You'll notice I've already done a test print on his chest with a pilot chair with a Vehicon symbol on it.
Never stop doing what you do. There's probably no collection in the world quite like it.
If only he could get all the pics of it at once.....
