Ok, that mold looks awesome in those colors!
I was kinda surprised back in the day that it wasn't passed off as a "Super Skywarp", of sorts.

Now you got me curious to see what it looks like in all the other Seeker decos.
Gorgeous. I actually tracked this down instead of the recent Commander class redeco (and mercifully found it for less than that would've run me).
Actually somewhat tempted to backtrack and get the Henkei one, despite having the Hasbro release. (Come to think of it, I did also get Tread Bolt at the time, whose color scheme surprised me with how much I liked it).
Still have a soft spot for this mold (but I'd love better ankles for it).
And a better thigh swivel, too. Most of the articulation in the lower body is not in the best places.
As I was fiddling with my copy over the past week, I've kinda started thinking that this Jetfire started out as a Seeker but with numerous upgrades over the years...
I remember doing this with, ironically, my Ultra Magnus cab and PMOP trailer on occasion.
I had an original character that used the Classics Jetfire mold (in black and gold) who was basically a normal Autobot without the attachments (and the wings and bottom of the nose cone folded down), and with the Matrix, became a Prime with the fully decked-out look.
Found one more soon-to-be-retired Classic custom.

I'm not entirely certain that the Legacy Hound mold is going to be better than what we got back in 2009. Or, at least that's how I've been feeling based on what we've seen so far.
Same, actually. This is one of the releases that have aged the best.

Fortunately, there seem to be both ports and posts around the shoulder areas so mounting the launcher doesn't seem to be an issue.
Ayup, I rechecked our screencaps of the stream where they announced him and the display model does indeed have the rocket launcher up and level with the shoulders (as opposed to the stock image/render, which has it swiveled down and back to point up). I've gone back and edited that bit out of my post
I really wish there were one or two more accent colors on this thing, though, yikes.
That yellow/green plastic is doing that figure no favours whatsoever.
My favorite Classics toy and one that I don't plan on replacing anytime soon is the Jetfire mold. I know everyone wants him to be a giant, but at this size he is just right for the new scale seekers.
It just hit me. If Takara were to ever try sneaking that new Tow-Line into the background of some new JG1 manga, they could easily use it to represent a post-RobotMasters Wrecker Hook having finally gotten his memories back and rejoined his Autobot comrades.
(Still waiting for them to explain what happened that led to him losing his memories in the first place, though! Like, did Fire Convoy's team just abandon him or something? And he's still a Decepticon 31 years later during Metrowars, so what gives, Takara?)
