I just finished reading Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption. I never have seen the movie. Still, I couldn't help but read it in Morgan Freeman's voice.
I guess next up is The Body. I've seen the movie Stand by Me countless times, but only read The Body once before.
I still refuse to read It simply because, dang, that thing is a hugging brick!

Les Miserables is longer than the Bible. Now that's a brick.
Compared to Under the Dome, It is a light vacation novel.
I'm not the biggest Goji fan but Hiya toys making the Heisei era Godzilla figures at decent prices really drew me back in. Reminds me of when me and my cousins used to play with the Trendmasters action figures.
I still have some Trendmasters stuff. I think I have most of the 4 inch line. Somehow their proportions and details were better than the larger toys.
The 4 inch Trendmasters figures were the bomb. Granted, you wound up with like a dozen extra Godzillas, but the 2 monster versus packs was probably one of the best ways to market godzilla figures ever. Their Biollante and Gigan figures are still my favorite renditions of those kaiju, I loved their poster colors Spacegodzilla, and Anguirus is a bizarre but fun take on the character. Wish I still had more of those figures from my younger days (especially MechaGhidorah!) but they got played with hard and passed down through several younger siblings.
I had a few of those too. One of my King Ghidorah's heads broke off, so my dad superglued it back in. No swivel on that neck anymore, but it's not like those things were super-articulated anyway.
None of us really understood scale so we had nonsense like Ghidorah shrinking to around half size when he gets mechanized. We also never got the garuda to attach to Mechagodzilla. Gigan was really interesting as a fully organic stylized version of the original.

Most of us here grew up with Transformers, so our concept of scale in our toys was kinda shot to begin with.
Yeah but it doesn't make sense that the more powerful form was smaller. Then again, little about Godzilla vs King Ghidorah made any sense IIRC. Writer watched Terminator unsubbed, translated it through his sleep-deprived workaholic Japanese brain, then thought he was cooking.
Heisei had some damn great designs all around though. Just the right amounts of realism, edge and stylization. I love Legendary Godzilla's design but not enough to buy his entire cast aside from Kong and that Ghidorah I still havent opened. Heisei though, I'd buy every last one of them.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Heisei films. They're often thoroughly silly, which is fine, but they're in denial about it. Pick a lane. Be a the serious reboot or not.
I kinda like Godzilla vs King Ghidorah though. The time travel plot does mostly make sense, and the running android is one of the most unintentionally hilarious sequences in movie history. I cannot be in a bad mood after watching it.

Other than the gratuitous slaughter of the American soldiers on Lagos, that movie is a heck of a ride.
I do think the Heisei films take themselves too seriously, but all the kaiju designs and redesigns are fun, and it is still my favorite form of Godzilla ever. Plus, it's fun to pick out the elements that are clearly ripped off from American blockbusters; Android M11 is hilarious as a Terminator knock-off.

My main issue is that the fights were mostly their ridiculously elaborate suits standing around and firing beams at each other. I don't expect much plot from this type of movie and certain levels of schlock. That said, I did enjoy them more than the Millennium era movies which were wildly inconsistent in terms of everything and features a Godzilla design I just don't like.

My area, well, my street has a bit of a problem, the road has become a bit of a river, well, stream/water way, as water is flowing down it, thankfully at the moment, my side of the street is uneffected where's the other side is being effected, the bottom of my part of the street is a firetruck and they are dealing with the problem, this is HIGHLY unusal as my area isn't prone to flooding, but the cause maybe related to the nearby railway drainage and the fact it has been throwing down for most of the day, for now the rain has stopped, so this is HIGHLY unusal, the back of the house, by our garbage is kind of on a island, I'm hoping this doesn't get any worse, I do know that a elderly neighbour across the street has been evecuated just as the water began entering their home!
Edit: Went out earlier on to look at other parts nearby and discovered that the Underpass (subway) was completely flooded, here's a shot of my side of the underpass, where the white bar is, that is the entrance, so that is quite deep as it goes under the road:

Yikes. Take care. Last year's Great Flood in my area took months to clean up.
Its OK the water only reached the edge of the hard stand but the Underpass is going to take a couple of days to clear, not that I use it as its not apart of my normal route to work as that direction lies more houses and a hill, still it was surpising to see so much water, clearly whatever was meant to keep water away from homes, failed as the streets across the way got effected a bit and people had to be evacuated to the sports centre
So, in X-Men 3, Leech is a mutant who can negate the powers of any mutant he's close to.
With that in mind, the scene where the Juggernaut runs into a wall and knocks himself out, while cool, should not have worked that way.
In the same vein, while being in the presence of Leech, it would be understandable if Beast's feet shrank to normal and he would be unable to hang from the ceiling, I at least have questions about his blue fur disappearing.

Juggernaut shouldn’t be a mutant or working for Magneto in the first place.
