I'm not worried about security updates. Hackers aren't real. I just need compatibility. I don't know if I could even get a printer that works with XP anymore.

I'm going to post from Alpine right now just because I can.

I just don't love it. I'm so used to the Windows file system, and particularly the ability to ignore it and install stuff wherever I want.

I used to run it on my home PC but when I bought my last PC it came with Windows 10 installed and never really saw the need to change it. Chalk it up to laziness.

For laptop, I had Linux on one a few years ago but it made running the programs we need for work a hassle so I went back to Windows.

It always comes down to programs. CP/M-86 was better than DOS (fight me), but DOS had better programs. OS/2 was better than Windows, but people just wanted to run DOS and Windows programs. And even if those programs actually ran better on OS/2, it took more configuration and nobody wants to be bothered with that. End users just want their stuff to work.

I was watching this cheezy paranormal reenactment show called Haunted Woods or something and if his story is to be believed, this guy not only bought a haunted cabin, he also encounters Bigfoot near the property. Like wow, this dude is a magnet for the paranormal. I expected him to get abducted by aliens and meet the chupacabra towards the end.

Or find his stash of shrooms.

Oh no. Someone bought a PS5 with my Walmart account. Good thing I don't have a Walmart account.

I should recreate my last computer in a virtual machine so I can mess with these clowns.
