Joan Collins here cemented her legacy as being the most beautiful woman in Star Trek of all time:

in the most beautifully acted scene of all time.

I would say that spot belongs to Rosalyn Landor:

^ Probably overlooked because the episode she was in was…

Compared to the relatively (universally?) loved CotEoF.

I actually liked that episode of TNG. It had a very weird resolution to it, but it was neat.

I still don't understand how the whole five partners thing would work out. The next generation of colonists would have all the possible genetic combination of people possible.

Every good idea came from Star Trek The Orignal Series and The Next Generation:

If Archer encountered the Borg, then why didn’t Kirk encounter the Borg?

And who is that Vulcan lady? She’s real dish.

That episode of Enterprise was a sequel to Star Trek: First Contact. The few Borg in that episode were ones left over from the events of that movie, who had crash-landed in the Arctic after Picard and his crew defeated the rest of the Borg and went back to the future. The ones that crash-landed in the Arctic survived and awoke in the 22nd Century.

Archer and his crew managed to destroy them, but never learned their species name nor did they get to see what they look like, in order to maintain continuity with their first appearance in The Next Generation. It was done very carefully to prevent any mistakes.

As for the Vulcan, that is T'Pol, Archer's First Officer and the ship's Science Officer, both positions that Spock would later take up on Kirk's Enterprise in The Original Series.

I have always been curious to see what a Borg would look like if done on the original series with the budget/scientific ideas/aesthetic of the time.

It's an interesting idea because the very concept of that type of alien would have been hard for them to imagine. Robots either looked like appliances or indistinguishable from humans with very little in between in those days

We would have gotten something similar to Who's Cybermen probably, as that was a similar concept made on a similar budget at a similar time.

That's true. Probably a bit of a "messier" / more asymetric Cyberman, maybe with more human parts showing.

Yeah no. A 2267 Constitution class against a Borg cube would be over about as fast as those three “Mars defense perimeter” ships from TBoBW2.

Also…so jarring to hear the TOS music stylings over what is a very serious threat. Reinforces the fantastical approach Kalidor mentioned of TOS compared to later series.

Wow. Just two hits from the TOS enterprise and the cube blows up. That must have been back when the borg hadn't assimilated so many species and weren't a threat.

Data is much more intelligent and stronger than the Borg:

He makes them look like lemmings:

Data is smarter, faster, and far more advanced. He is superior in every way, by every measure, to the Borg.

to A Borg. Keep in mind, the Borg are a superorganism made of trillions of drones. Each of those Borg drones is like a single cell in an incomprehensibly large whole.

Why does Guinan think she is anything but defenseless against Q:

She is like a flea to Q. So is the Borg:
