The Lunar Remastered Collection is set for release in April with Amazon being the exclusive distributor for physical copies, retailing for $55.

For Switch 2 rumors, things are heating up with Nintendo supposedly revealing the device Thursday with a games showcase at the end of February. To date, Nintendo has confirmed an ANNOUNCEMENT before the end of their fiscal year (which ends March 31). But on the leaky side, accessory manufacturers have started to showcase accessories, while the motherboard was revealed a few weeks back. This leak confirmed the system using the Nvidia T239 mobile chip, a 2018 chip from the Orin Tegra family. The graphics tech will be based on Ampere (RTX 3000 series and Mobile RTX 2050 cards).
To refresh, Richard Ledbetter from Digital Foundry did a deep dive on the chip and used a downclocked laptop running an RTX 2050 to simulate approximate performance of a next gen Switch

Was that the same DF guy that doesn't know what "Software" is? If so I would question any of his tests.

*Sorry... I've grown very weary of DF, or peoples obsession/hero worship of them*

So, my brother let me borrow his old Rockband gear for the xbox 360. I have this setup in the kids playroom, and last night we had a blast playing GH WT. Now I got a lot of the song packs back in the day, but the only song that they know on there is Just Dance. They had a blast balling that out on the chorus. So with that in mind, is there a good karaoke game for the Switch? I think if they had something with music that they know it would be better for them.

I think you're probably going to be looking at mostly the "Let's Sing" games? Can't really vouch for them, since I don't dabble in that genre too much. But, I'd probably start there and look around if there's anything that stands out to you.

Amazin has it for $30 with two microphones, so I ordered that last night. We will see if the girls like that.

Nintendo is ending their Gold Points Reward system. This allowed you to get some "credit" when you purchased games so you could get discounts later.
Starting March 24, you will no longer receive any new points for purchasing games physically or digitally. It sounds as though your current points will remain until they expire. But, you won't be able to get any new points after that date.

So, if you were thinking about buying something, maybe do it sooner than later, if you want to earn some points for it.

My opinion on this can be summarized roughly as: "Boo! Hiss!"

So, I ended up getting a Switch lite at the local gamestore this week. They go for $199 new but I got this one, with a charger and case, for $130 and it looks brand new.

The kids are happy as now we have two Switches to play with, so that solves the immediate problem of one hogging the Switch all day.

Man, "I'm getting you a switch" meant something completely different when I was a kid...
Lol! Same here!

The thing is we had promised the youngest to get her one a long time ago when she learned how to potty train, and that has been a year since she learned, so it was past due to fulfill our promise to her even if she had forgotten it.

Nintendo is dropping a direct tomorrow! There will NOT be any Switch2 (2witch? My “s” and “2” can sometimes look the same when I write), game or console information. The direct will focus on upcoming titles for the first Switch

Cool. I am not really amped for any new first party games at the moment though. Considering Switch 2 is right around the corner, that is all I want to know from the Big N right now.

If they announce a port of Kirby: Planet Robobot (as rumored), I'll be there with bells on.

The direct:

Big things FOR ME:
Dragon Quest 1+2 HDRemake- Eh. I know it has its fans, but I also can't shake the feeling SquareEnix is leaning on this "lower cost" method a bit too heavily.

Raidu- Caught my eye. Some interesting mechanics and story

Shadow Labrynth- I still think this started as something else and got Pac-Man put in later. The Pac Man (HA! Called him Puck! His original name!) elements seem out of place with the larger scope of the game, but I'm sucker for Metroidvanias so I'll keep an eye on it.

Patapon 1+2 and Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots- Still shocked to see Playstation properties on the console. They aren't top tier Playstation names, but definitely have strong connections to the platform. Hot Shots looks like they're channeling some of the old school Mario Golf vibes so I'm eager to see how it turns out

Eternal Life of Goldman- Saw this previewed in video form a while back, and stuck on my PS wishlist. Got some DKCxDucktales vibes that I'm watching. Could be a sleeper hit if the level design is as on point as the art, music and mechanics seem to be.

Gradius Origins- Another classic arcade game collection is always welcome. And for all Konami's faults, they've done a good job with the retro game collections, especially with the inclusion of region variants. The new Salamander 3 is a neat addition, though, sadly, the Rebirth game remains MIA it seems.

Rift of the Necrodancer- Looks nifty, but I'm so white I don't have rhythm so I'll have to enjoy it from afar. Same with the Rhythm Fever entry
Sunset Overdrive- Has demo out, looks good.
Lou's Lagoon- I'm watching this. Could be a nice little platformer, or another resource gatherer like Slime Rancher.
High on Life- Got good remarks on other platforms, but the visual loss is noticable. Surprised they bothered at this stage with Switch 2 on deck.
SAGA Frontier 2 Remaster- Am i crazy, or didn't they already do a rerelease of this game? Glad it's not another "2.5D HD" game, but I'm not sure the methods are doing the art many favors in some sections.

Comfy games- Story of seasons, Tomagochi, Cursed Cafe, TomoDachi, "comfy games" seemingly remain a stable for the platform. Which is so full of them I can't even muster interest in any of them, must less one from Nintendo. Seriously, Tomodachi is their big finale? WTF? And Level 5's Fantasy Life i looks to have PAINFUL performance issues.

Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Legends ZA- Still on deck for later this year. They showed Samus's sexy new red and black suit. I'm still convinced that they will be cross platform titles and will look and perform VASTLY better on the Switch 2. Their inclusion here is more to confirm Switch 1 players will still be able to play them. Even on the Switch 1, Metroid is still looking fantastic.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion- Probably among the biggest surprises, it's a tag team belt scroller developed by the same crew who've done TMNT Shredder's Revenge and Streets of Rage 4. Not only that, but they are clearly channelling that Capcom fighter nostalgia in the animations. The 15 fighters comment is fascinating, but given two of the characters shown were just variations of Nova...not sure how different many will be. Top of my wishlist!

A solid direct, and more than anything, I think it shows a solid commitment to the Switch 1 platform. Most of the games seem for this summer, so I expect a fall Direct later for Christmas titles.

From the Full trailers for the games, some interesting things:

Full trailer for Marvel Cosmic Invasion:

Hey, cool to Annihilus get some coverage!

Gradius Origins- M2's tech is the foundation for Salamander 3. Confirms 6 "core games" with 17 different variations, including prototype and regional variations (like Vulcan Venture and Nemesis)

After the complete failure of FF 16, they have to rely on their lower cost successes for a while. In fact, maybe it'll teach them not to just pump money into "Graphics and westernizing!"

In fact, I expect that they completely restarted DQ 12 after FF 16s massive failure.
