Just be glad that Elon Musk didn't purchase an airline. He would lay off half the maintenance staff because he used his Giant SuperBrain to determine that they were redundant, and then he would act surprised when planes start falling out of the sky.

I could totally see him tweeting "I looked at the maintenance schedule myself, and up to 80% of it is unnecessary. Why waste thousands of man-hours fixing planes that are already working fine?"

He would have them ranked by how many hours they spent fixing real problems instead of imaginary make-work activities like "preventive maintenance".
