Have they, though? Their purchase of Twitter helped get the most venal presidential candidate in history elected (again). Now anything they want is just a relatively-cheap bribe or insincere ass-kissing away.
People kept telling me this wasn’t intentional and that he was just an idiot and oh look at that now people are admitting it was planned.

honestly, i never really used it so it just sat there. But just leaving it sitting there felt insufficient after his seig heil.
There were (and still are) people worth following on Xitter. Fortunately most of them have moved to Bluesky so now I follow them there.
I think I made like one tweet(and it was likely pure nonsense meant as pure nonsense, given how I was at the time) back in the before times, before the arrival of the orange one. I followed a couple of people but mostly ignored it. Likely why my account ended up locked. It was ignored for so long that someone likely tried to hack it and failed.
