Got the replacement for my 2017 tablet today, though it cost a big chunk of change. Also grabbed the wrong size tablet cover at first and had to exchange it but it's all ready to go now, just need to go through and re-add all my apps and settings. (And honestly I like the cover I ended up with better anyways)
If you're using android: it should be pretty easy to reinstall your profile... if you did all that stuff in the first place. But awesome. Always love the first few days with new technology.
Had a lot of junk to uninstall that it came with, but got everything pretty much set up now. I actually have more free space in the internal storage than the entirety of the SDcard I had in the old one, so probably not going to move it over; just need to see what data needs to come across.
Was pleasantly surprised that the file explorer app it comes with now supports network storage - the version on my old tablet didn't, so anytime I was transferring data I had to use a separate ad-supported app that I only used for that.
Only complaints so far would be that it kept thinking I was trying to write with the pen when I was just trying to select the text field, and that it's a bit too big to one-hand-navigate Discord. And the incredibly minor peeve that the weather widget for the home screen is far too small.

So I just discovered one of the new skill styles released in the latest ESO patch, which I'd heard was only meant to drop from Psijic portals in Summerset, just dropped for me from a Psijiic portal in a different area! Now I don't have to go farm Psijiic portals in Summerset after all!

Well, only thing I've had today was a stuffy nose and nasal drainage. Chinese takeout is high on my list of home remedies. Nice hot and sour soup, broccoli with a hot garlic sauce, orange chicken with dried orange peels, good stuff. The spices are mild but they do something.
I just go to a local Chinese for their chips quite offen, normally once a week, they are very genious with their servings, plus they are priced greatly, where they are about the cheepest outside of a chain like MCD or KFC!
I was watching a bunch of retro gaming handheld review videos (cause I like me the old titles, and I get an itch to keep up.) when it struck me: didn't I buy one of these a while back?
Yeah, I have an anbernic rg350p sitting in my drawer. So I plugged it in, and checked it out (again. This time with memories flooding backtm). And yeah. Still works great, it's a powerful little system.
But the UI outright sucks, which is what made me put it down in the first place. Which drove me to research if there was any alternatives I could use... And there are... mitigated. I managed to get the simple menu front end onto it (after some work. I haven't used an FTP in fricking ages.), but the current simple menu does not work on this model anymore. So I found a tutorial to install custom firmware for a far more user friendly system on it... but it requires getting some new microSD cards (recommended procedure, as the stock ones are usually very cheap.). Okay, table that for now.
Turns out there's a stock firmware update I can do... but the process to install it is the same installing the custom firmware. And since all the reviews for this particular model all state that the UI sucks... I don't think updating the suck will help my core problem here.
So I just ordered the micro sd cards to upgrade the firmware. So I just saved like 200 some bucks over getting an entirely new system...
Good thing ******* around with these things is part of the appeal for me.

I woke up at a decent... ish time. Just after 2pm.
Yeah, that sounds late, but given when I usually get to bed (just look at the timestamp on this post for an idea -- I'm still up for another hour or so), and that I've been waking up at around 5:30? It's not my ideal (that'd be about noon or 1), but it's still a victory for me.
Maybe I can get my sleep schedule back on track. It's been a mess ever since I had to watch after Tango, gotten worse over time, and affected my productivity with it.
So yeah, it's a win for me.

Seeing the white stuff fall from the sky and land on the ground today, thou I doult it will stay for long as my area it rarely has it and when it does, it only stays on the ground for a couple of days before melting away, I would of built a snowman but I had to go to work, still it makes a change from the green grass!

It's still 10 celsius above zero up here. I spent the morning in the yard raking leaves and actually got a decent sweat going. I took my walk with my thinnest hoodie ONLY because I wanted the easy pocket for my music box.
