There's nothing saying next year's titan size is permanent. It's a single-item sizeclass, they can make it whatever they want each year.

That said, if they wanted a Primus even remotely close to the size of Haslab unicron, it'd probably be a $700+ Haslab and I doubt they're going to do that.
I don't understand the hubbub around the sizes. We've had different sized Titans before.

Not just Titans.

People hated on Commander Rodimus Prime for being on the smaller end of that scale but, imo, once he's in hand you feel where the parts and money went. So I didn't feel ripped off or anything.

Size isn't the only way to judge a price point. I'm perfectly fine with a smaller figure if I feel like I can tell where the cost is going.
Same reason why I love ER Cliffjumper and NF Bumblebee, despite being shorter than your average Deluxe.

And from what we've seen from Star Convoy... it definitely looks like we'll be getting $150 worth of product for the cost.

Armada Red Alert
Armada Red Alert.jpg

“Another great character is here! None other then our voyager class Armada Red Alert. Pretty hyped about the resurgence of the Unicron Trilogy fans, this robo hop s right into the showdown and can really hold his own.

Worked with the incredible Tomo san from Takara Tomy on this project. Any time I get to work with Tomo I know the fans will get to reap the benefits of his dilengent work ethic and creative thinking abilities. Always an energon goodie treat!

Lets get all logical and methodical, he comes with his interchangeable blaster hand weaponry (neat duel storage in rear fenders) his detrachable mounted shoulder cannon and his grappling claw (neat storage under roof). Articulation is on point, he has a wide array of head movement to really keep his visor optics on the medical procedures needed in the battlefield. The offroad ambulance mode just rips, the whole vibe brings me back to how much fun it is to push a toy around and make red alert noises! Woo-Woo-Woo 🚑 💨

Descendent from Prima Prime you say? 🤔 The choice comes from the heart and soul of Red Alerts character persona. He was a valiant warrior but the war had other plans for this bot, his heart, concern, and care for his fellow cybertronians is other worldly. I feel his true meaning speaks to what it means to be a true warrior of the light. What Armada characters are left to finish the main cast, lets hear it!”

Red Alert as a Prima descendent isn't super obvious, which is why I like it. I hope they can get creative with the others.

I'd like it if Crasher wasn't a Solus descendent and they picked a male character to be one of her's instead.

unluckiness

Somehow still sane

I wouldnt be surprised if they went “wheeled vehicle bigger than car =Prima” and made the stuff up afterwards

It does kind of seem obvious to me. A no-nonsense stick in the mud descending from a no-nonsense and stick in the mud.

I donno, to me the obvious move is making the "Convoy" descended characters Prima's descendants. The AotP figure even seems to hint at that with Prima's vehicle mode back half sporting striping detailing that matches Optimus' and Thunderclash's traditional trailer striping pattern.

It's kind of odd that none of the Thirteen have specially medical or healing themes now that I think about it, given its prevalence as a theme in most mythological pantheons.
Still, I'd have not pegged medic-themed characters to get linked to Prima.

Not saying it's bad, I rather like that they seem willing to play around with it.

Medicine and engineering go hand-in-hand for transformers.

Wheeljack was basically the other medic for S1 and that chunk of S2 before the new toys show up. Grapple and Hoist too.

Quintus is probably the most medicy as he actually creates life, followed by Solus who builds stuff.

Huh. I figured the Convoys would be descended from Convoy, since Convoy is a Convoy in the Age of the Convoys.

Doctor!
