Wonder if they’ll do a Scourge that can hold his weapon properly.

I never had a problem with my Cybertron Scourge holding his weapon, thou I would like to see him gain some extra joints like ackle rockers, wrist movement, waist movement

Another Cybertron figure I would like to see updated is Soundwave, the original is good and all, but some improvements can be made, such as easier to store his barrel weapons in alt mode, in terms of desgin, it was about the most radical verison of Soundwave, yet also retains his iconic look while also being its own thing, instead of a tape deck, he is a alien sleath fighter and his Cyber key gimmick is just openning his chest compartment!

I'm not saying it's a bad thing that it exists or anything. I just personally have no need for it.

I'd pass on this one if I still had my original, but I sold it off with most of my collection years ago.
These days a cheaper alternative is more appealing than picking up a complete original.

Cybertron Soundwave is neat. I always liked it better than all the other vehicle modes he's had since then.

I sold my Sideways but I still have my Cybertron Soundwave. The concept of stealth bomber Soundwave just feels right, and the cassettes reimagined as bombs is inspired.

The thing is that as cool as the original was, the toy was flawed. I'd love for them to give the design a once-over just to clean it up.

It's the perfect vehicle mode for Soundwave but it's never been done justice in plastic.

Oh the issue isn't that he can't hold his weapon, it's that his arm articulation is jointed badly for it. His elbows bend inwards, for instance. Correcting that is what people mean by "hold it properly".

Always loved the Cybertron Sideways mold, but I'm not gonna buy the new one just for ankle tilts.

But I would be all over a "mass production type" repaint

If this color scheme was used with the new mold, I'd buy two or three.

The last Cybertron Sideways I saw was $90. The new one will be significantly cheaper.

In this economy? That sounds like a bet.

Glad and concerned (due to costs and availability) that this capsule may be bigger than expected. Lots of neat redecos that they can do-- Dark Nitro Convoy at the top of the list (now that Excellion is done, although I'll get a second to make DVD Red Exillion), and also Production Noisemaze. And the Cybertron Starscream would look great in any Seeker colors, or any NEW colors.

If this capsule is going to have more new molds, I'd love to see a Soundwave. The original set a high bar but the transformation to altmode was more than a little fiddly. Something a bit more intuitive and less getting in its own way would be good. But a Scourge with universal joint hips and ankle rockers would be great too.

Redoing other stuff with better jointing and no toy gimmick getting in the way? Let's see a better Thundercracker with a proper locking cannon arm.

(Ultimately I'd also really like to see like a Commander class Cybertron Op that's an all new mold. The Siege take was a nice attempt but not satisfying.)

Beyond Cybertron, I do think we also need to show Energon more love. By this point it's the trilogy segment that's gotten the least remake attention.

Is it basically the same mold with ankle tilts? It did look that way to me.

Pretty darn close. The pelvis looks to be a solid piece instead of splitting like the old one, and the legs don't have the armature to hold the wings, but otherwise pretty similar.

The design team has stated both sides are really interested in doing a proper Galaxy Prime remake, so I feel lie that's gonna happen sooner then later.

We haven't yet, is not a sign of never. We're still missing Big Convoy as well. This design teams doesnt feel like the sort that would intentionally break up a pair of rivals.

This is what JTPrime posted last year in terms of the Walmart capsule. He indicated that there were still a couple of MIA deluxe figures (my guess is a Cybertron Red Alert and Hardtop reworked from Beachcomber/Ruckus)

This year’s Walmart Capsule will be Galaxy force/Cybertron Themed wave to celebrate the anniversary. There should be a couple more deluxes, but I can’t confirm their product codes yet.
