Everybody is Shockwave... who was retooled from Silverbolt.

Now, 10 points to anyone who can explain the fact that Silverbolt was really Shockwave in disguise.

Silverbolt of Universe 66666666666666666666666666666, created a portal and it warpped his appearance so much that he looked like Shockwave
Meanwhile the Silverbolt of Universe 99999999, died in a low level flying accident and was reincarated as Shockwave in another Universe and the story yet to told is called "That time I got reincarnated as Shockwave!!" 😁 😁

This reminds me...

Or that time I used Shockwave and Shockwave to make a comic about Shockwave...

But in the end, though, we all have a little Shockwave in all of us. Mostly the microplastics that will give us cancer later.

To be fair, there is also a distinct line between 'retool/pretool' and 'shared engineering'. If a transformation works, there's no rule that says two distinct molds can't have the same transformation design. We've just gotten so used to the practice of pre-planned shared molds that the automatic reaction when a figure is revealed is "Who is this retooled from?/Who can it be retooled into?".

It is fun to see bits of shared engineering or just "shared ways of doing __________," even years later, like seeing something that works the way the Alternators did way down the line.

At the time I was thinking of those con cosplay groups where one girl only has the loosest idea of the character she's trying to do, but gets all the attention.
