Text not inciting violence, not defaming another person, not causing a panic. Hopefully, if that bill does pass, it gets slapped down by the federal courts. Guess the 1st amendment only applies to political donations and racist speech.

The only rights Conservatives care about is their own. Everybody else can bugger off.

Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) have joined the growing calls for releasing the Ethics Committee report on Gaetz, further exposing the GOP’s internal divisions.

Greene, however, made it clear that if Gaetz is targeted, she will not hesitate to bring down others with him, threatening to reveal evidence that could implicate Republican leaders in the Epstein scandal and beyond.
Does she even understand that publicly making the threat means she's already admitted to knowing about these things?

She's a Qanon wacko, so I'm not surprised she doesn't know how to do blackmail properly.

I'm not convinced she has any evidence that could change anything either though.

If she had any ethical standards to begin with, she'd have already released whatever evidence she had. Whoever runs against her should absolutely be pointing this out continually. Start now, why wait for an election cycle?

There's a lot to unpack there.

Freedom Caucus really feel like they are a small 3rd party.

It also means she considers her buddy Gaetz' ethics report to be damning. She specifically believes that releasing it will be importantly damaging. So she either KNOWS it is or in her very small list of friends she includes a guy that she just THINKS it is. And I'm not sure which I prefer for her. It is so important that the buddy who paid for sex with minors (apparently not a problem) gets to be in charge of the Justice Department that if her own party stops it, she's going to reveal who else IN HER PARTY paid for sex with minors (apparently a real problem).

She's mad because she didn't get picked for a cabinet position. That's all this boils down to.

That and, by all reports, nobody likes Gaetz, even his own party.

To MTG: DO IT!!! Sure it's likely a half baked conspiracy theory with no evidence, but that's her bread and butter. It would have one of two consequences. Either A, we get a lot of resignations/people voted out on the R side in congress or B) MTG becomes a pariah in the Republican party and looses all her funding for her re-election campaign in 2026. Either of those would be fine by me.(There is also the possible third option where both happen).

If Markwayne is demanding the report, I don't think Gaetz is getting confirmed. He already resigned, which I thought at the moment was a confident move, but I guess it was a strategy to try to make his ethics report officially irrelevent.

But I guess if the notion of his new job fizzles out fast enough, he can be nominated to replace himself in Congress.

There is also the supervolcano possibility.
