I realize that's probably meant to be pronounced like "block," but whenever I see it, my mind defaults to "bloke."
So I'm reading it like "bloke-ease".

It's objectively dumber, so I can see why they didn't.
It may be a phonics across language thing, as they're made by a company called Buluke. If it's a take on their name, the hard /k/ sound is already represented.
The K sound was never in question.
I found out about their existence via Thew, so they're already firmly bloke-ees in my brain.
I'm... Aware of that. That's my point.
The hard /k/ sound is there, so the c would be superfluous. The spelling may be the way it is because they didn't start from the word "block", they started from /b/+/l/+/k/.

In hindsight I should have gone with a Conehead, but their heads might be more annoying to edit out.

Head was indeed more annoying to edit out. But if they were to make this an actual toy I think there'd be merit in avoiding the typical Seeker wings.
