Per the Battlestars catalog, Star Convoy is 45m tall. This tweet calls out the specific images where his and Super Megatron's 35m heights are stated:
The manga also shows them being far bigger than their original bodies. Humans came up to around Optimus Prime's knees, while humans only barely...
I still absolutely loathe how Netflix chose to label the seasons for their Voltron show. After that, I have a hard time attaching any weight at all to season numberings.
So when did Best Buy stop doing shipping for arrival on release day? I took vacation for the next two days to enjoy EoW. Just looked at my tracking info, and discovered my pre-ordered copy won't arrive until Saturday! 🤬
Clearly, I have a problem...
I mean, seriously, how is it possible he never got a release in Hero purple? I need it! 😆
It never occured to me before, but now I'd really like a good Neutro-Fusion deco too!
Gah! Can't believe I mixed up the group name with one of the member names.
I mean, they're thematically a very good match for each other, but still...
I really want a full set of Stalkers. Which is kinda crazy. They have no media focus at all that I'm aware of (other than the jets sorta in JG1) and were never released in any form in the US aside from some repaints I never bought, and so I have absolutely no emotional attachment to them...
My Darkmount was misassembled. One of his knees was from the wrong side. Wasn't a huge deal, but it bugged me enough to lower a toy that wasn't all that great to begin with down another notch. I wasn't ever able to find another one in stores to replace him with, and I just didn't care enough...
Silverbolt was pretty good and all, but I think it's time to retire him. Plus, Hun-Gurrr proved he doesn't pull off the quadrupedal retool all that well.
😝
I absolutely adore Combiner Wars and all the combiners that came from the line itself and its engineering. Combiners are by far my favorite TF gimmick, and they really took it to a new level where they were far more functional than they ever were before, at least for the G1 designs. They all...
I always loved Armada Jetfire. He was a real standout of both the show and toyline for me. I'd definitely love an update to him. If they can get him to transform into fully functional legs for Optimus instead of just columns of parts in leg-like shapes, that would be fantastic!
Aside from him...
I think I'm most curious about Megatronus. I think most of the Thirteen have only really been seen in the Covenant of Primus and media derived from their depictions there. But Vector Prime is straight up the Cybertron version. And with Superion and Bruticus apparently coming in the next couple...
We're not getting all 13 in 2025. We got one this year, and we're apparently getting seven next year. So there are only five left. Or nine, if Nexus is released as separate combiner team members. It would be shocking if they aren't planned for 2026, or maybe 2027 at the latest.
Even if I'd decided to buy the set, I don't think I would have ever noticed he wasn't just a redeco if it weren't for that comparison. I think it's mainly the Pteranodon crest. Even with the paint to set it apart from the rest of the head, having that crest there makes it read as Swoop. The head...
I never got to see TFTM in theaters. We rarely went to theaters back then. I'm sure I must have seen some movies before then, most likely Disney animated movies, but the first movie I actually remember watching in a theater was Jurassic Park. And that I mainly remember for how funny it was that...
Love that video. Definitely a fantastic celebration of the franchise.
Awesome breakdown. I was able to catch most of the references, but this really helped with a few of them that I didn't recognize. I did spot one correction though. It's Energon Energon Ironhide, not Bulkhead.
I certainly hope they do go through with Arcee! I never loved that prototype that much, but just getting any real G1 Arcee would be amazing. Definitely not something I was expecting.
I kind of have a hard time making distinctions between the two. I feel like the only significant difference between them is that WfC is overwhelmingly G1, while Legacy is only significantly G1. Even then though, WfC peppered in enough new characters, BW characters, a few characters like...
They're not my preferred implementation by any stretch, but I do like them. In particular, I'm glad that we got at least the Masterforce Decepticon trio. They work well enough for how they were portrayed in the show, with the shells being basically human sized. It's a shame Waverider never got...
In general, I'm perfectly happy with the current approach to pretenders, with the caveat that I want them to be handled with the same care in terms of scale as the rest of the line. As far as I can remember seeing in any fiction I can think of, the main '88 pretenders were all around the same...
