Yeah, now I'm not at all certain you can get downloads from IDW anymore. I'm going to email customer service to hopefully verify. But if I'm going to be locked into an app and barred from downloading comics I own, then I guess I'm done with digital comics.

I don't think so. The simplest way is probably to go to the backups tab and start moving down the list.

That's the route I've been planning to take. I believe they give downloads in PDF. I'd rather have a CBZ, but at least my reader apps all do PDFs fine.

This is absolutely true! I will staunchly defend the merits of Ruckley's run as a single ongoing story, but consumed at the level of individual issues they are indeed quite lacking.

I mean, that formula is how Chris Claremont made the X-Men the powerhouse they are. Granted, that was 30+ years ago--but James Roberts did much the same with MTMTE. (And a common complaint against Roberts was that he focused too much on a small core cast!)

I would love new toys for Powerpinch, Scarem, and Insecticon, but they're already almost impossible to improve on. It would be interesting to see what could be done with BW Jetstorm, Transquito, and Retrax without having to retain their original toy gimmicks.

It's actually Optimus Prime #25 that effectively ends the first IDWverse, and Unicron is pretty firmly intertwined with the end of that series (which itself is tied tightly to the Hasbroverse crossovers.) Lost Light never actually interacts with the post-Revolution "Phase Three" at all.
