As a point of reference, Knock Out was a major character in the same miniseries, and his design is clearly based on his Legacy toy. Personal canon is all well and good, but I can't watch it with my girlfriend.

Compromise. As a Voyager he can be the same size as Voyager Springer and Sandstorm and also tower over Core Optimus and friends. Everyone who counts is happy. This isn't a joke.

See, that seems like it shouldn't be an issue, but based on some conversations/arguments I saw on Old Allspark*, I think a small but noticeable number of fans who liked the new fictitious spacejet Blast Off would stop liking it when they realized it was based on a GI Joe thing.
