I think Johannes Gutenberg deserves far more credit for increasing both literacy and access to the Bible.
Luther might be the second-most important person in those areas to Germany specifically, but Gutenberg...
To elaborate on that point more, people in "invisible minorities" actually sometimes have to put up with more, because casual bigotry from people who wouldn't knowingly harass someone directly is a very real thing.

With anti-LGBT+ bigotry being more prominent than racism at the moment, this is an even more absurd question than it would have been in other times and places.
Which is bad because it means all you have to do to get "forgiven" (as if anyone other than the person actually wronged has any right or ability to do that) by a church is to say you've prayed about it.
And the toxic part is that they then shame victims if they don't forgive those who hurt them...

I mean, he's a necromancer, came back to life by his own magic and not someone else's, and actually became more powerful after death.
The gospels say he was put on trial for blasphemy, and historically most people killed for that were not a threat to anyone. If he'd been stoned at their command, he'd just be another innocent example of why religion should never have enough authority to have people killed.
But he wasn't...
The more recent date isn't because "the prophecies are so reliable", it's because they change from being accurate to not accurate around the time the book was actually written.

Blaming "the Palestinians" for Hamas is no different than blaming "the Jews" for what the Israeli government does.
A majority of the Palestinian people are simply more concerned with getting Israel to stop occupying land outside its recognized borders than with what happens to Israel itself...
