I get what you’re saying, but I think the nature of streaming has…lessoned…those issues. Especially when you consider the biggest “thing“ to happen to Star Wars since Force Awakens was a streaming TV series. The luster of MCU has certainly faded, but those films remain in hefty rotation on...
  2. Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

According to leaked retailer listings, Swoop is on deck for some point this year. In preparation, Hasbro is doing new runs for Snarl and Slag, so you could, theory, buy all 5 Dinobots later this year without resorting to secondhand sellers.
  3. X-Men '97 - continuation of 1992 Animated Series

After the X-Men 97 trailer, my YouTube feed started to get garbage on how Disney is ruining X-Men. Looking into it, it seems some of the “usual folks” are up in arms about Morph being declared non-binary by the showrunner (and a knee jerk conclusion jump to now there will suddenly be a...
  4. X-Men '97 - continuation of 1992 Animated Series

If Spider-Man had a bigger budget, it went to the luxurious voice cast they managed to get. The CGI bits only appeared in a few episodes early on and only reappeared as “stock footage”. The show is actually rather notorious for the amount of reuse it did, to the point I almost believe they...
  5. X-Men '97 - continuation of 1992 Animated Series

What doesn’t anymore? The new one is fine, but I think trying to push a bit more “accent” might have worked. David Hemblen’s Magneto had a distinct “Euro” accent that I don’t think any of subsequent portrayals ever touched back to. The animation though? It feels like (at least in the...
  6. Studio Series discussion

The feet are still complete garbage. At least the Jazz retool got THAT part right!
  7. X-Men '97 - continuation of 1992 Animated Series

Those "sports looks" DID appear in the original series, btw :p

We got a movie line this year as well, with a greater Q4 focus at that. That's on top of Hasbro's 40th initiatives that'll probably goose sales a bit. We'll probably not see a significant softening of Transformers brand revenues until the end of 2025.
  9. X-Men '97 - continuation of 1992 Animated Series

First trailer, before the March 20 premiere date: Variances in voices aside...it just doesn't feel the same without the janky animation, y'know? But we'll see, I'm game for it anyway.
  10. Tomb Raider

I’m probably not going to get the collection until it hits a sale (what can I say? I’m a cheap ass and I know that Aspyr will run have it on sale at some point). But in terms of the frustration in going back? I DO get that. As I’ve tried to go back and play assorted PS1 games I’ve gotten over...
  11. He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

Chalk this up to the rumor mill, for now, but... Amazon MGM is reportedly trying to snag the rights to a live action He-Man film from Netflix after years of stalled production. Their choices to develop? Chris Butler, long time LAIKA collaborator who wrote ParaNorman and Kubo and the Two...
  12. Hasbr-uh-oh

If my Ollies is, in any way, indicative of broader issues...I'd heartily agree. Last time I was there, they STILL had a full end cap of Marvel Legends figures, mostly from Age of Apocalypse and the live action stuff. Even Marvels, which hadn't even been released when I first saw the wave at...
  13. Tomb Raider

Digital Foundry posted a tech breakdown. I do disagree on the jank in the Classic Graphics mode, the 30 fps and odd frame pacing I think is more accurate to the original, unrefined, games. I'll be sad if/when that gets patched.
  14. G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

Leaked in package images have cropped up for a couple new, unannounced, Joe items: Mad Marauders Low Light and Spirit 2 pack and Marauders Sgt. Slaughter https://news.hisstank.com/2024/02/12/g-i-joe-classified-mad-marauders-sgt-slaughter-low-light-and-spririt-iron-knife-2-pack-86491 The more...
  15. He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

New leaks for Turtles of Grayskull! Feels appropriate to keep most info here about the line, given Mattel making it and the strong MOTU influence and tooling. Reminder on wave 3 and Deluxe figures- Deluxe figures are split between Walmart and Target. Walmart’s do NOT feature the BAF of...
  16. Deadpool 3!!

Entertainment Earth has a tease up for Tuesday, the 13th, possibly indicating reveals for Deadpool and Wolverine Legends figures.
  17. Deadpool 3!!

I was unexpectedly giddy over the Patch cameo, myself. Also, a LOT more TVA than I expected, to the point I was a bit disappointed they didn’t reuse more of the amazing production design from the Loki series.
  18. He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

He’s referencing a “flash in the pan” drink from the mid-90s. MASSIVE marketing budget, but was gone almost as quick as it appeared. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orbitz_(drink) The name is currently used by a travel booking site
  19. 40th Anniversary Haslab: RID2001 Omega Prime

Honestly, I think RED is a done thing, just coasting on the handful of new molds and redecos (of which, I’m not sure all will see release). I think, if momentum sustains, a nice, 3”, articulated, T-AI would be a nice stretch goal (20K maybe?). Yes, they COULD do a little figurine or something...
  20. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

Actually, Micro Galaxy Squadron is done by Jazwares :p Either way, I'm betting an E-Wing in that scale within the next year, I'm waiting for that myself. I don't have the space or money for a 1/18 E-Wing. I can swing a 4-5" ship for $20, though.
