I just realized, Mainframe for this three-pack is the...Background Character.
Incoming three-pack of Jazz, Bumblebee, and Wheeljack. Specifically, their "Origin" bodies from Episode 1 of the G1 cartoon.
neat! I never did get Jazz or Wheeljack. I can't recall if I got Bee for that matter. I might need to get this set.
I'd considered, given the amount of clear plastic in that set, getting a spare copy of each of the three since my nephew really likes them, but I haven't done it yet. This may be a better bet, since it won't all be just the same thing all over again, it'll add some variation.
I'm missing all three, and Bee turned out to be severely prone to discoloring. This set has potential.
I mentioned this elsewhere, but this is the first release of all three in Japan. Being Target exclusives, they never got any of them.
Last one got a throne. I wonder what this one gets?
My money is on "streetlamps that look like Soundwave".
Uh, that was the first one. This is the fourth one.
The second one was the Autobot Headquarters set with Optimus, Jazz, and Mainframe, while the third one was the Triple Takeover set with Starscream, Astrotrain, and Blitzwing.
Can you imagine if someone were dense enough they’d be big mad and post numerous times that Takara was prioritizing the Japanese market over what they themselves personally wanted?

Cool to see this set, it makes a lot of sense. Probably end up skipping it too though; I have the Jazz and am considering the Legacy reissue of Bee (I haven't checked my original to see how bad, if anything, the color change has gotten). At that point the only one I don't have at all is Wheeljack and it may be simpler and cheaper to get the Target one.
Tell them: We're getting G1 Prototype Arcee, They're allow to have something just for themselves.

I'm not sure if the intent has really been for all the sets to have a background element included. That may have been a coincidence between the Bridge throne and wanting to release a standalone Mainframe (very grateful for this in particular). The third set hasn't been released yet, I think? but upon announcement there was no mention of such a thing. Even though the Starscream (which comes with not-really-Triple-Takeover-y coronation gear) in the set was the figure that WAS originally released with the throne.
I did see a local reseller all angry at "Assbro" for doing yet another set with Jazz and Wheeljack in it (under the assumption that this was the SS86 and Earthrise molds) again. This despite him reposting a picture that clearly said "Takara Tomy" and "Dramatic Capture Series". Dude seriously asked what the hell the logic was of selling these AGAIN. Guess not everyone can be assed to take five seconds to look more closely at them silhouettes.
I mean, he DID just spend weeks acquiring and splitting up multiple boxes of the Autobot Headquarters set... and likely being stuck with a bunch of Jazzes. But ffs, man, they're not doing any of this to personally mess with you. Any more than they did this to personally do me a favor by releasing a Mainframe independent of the Ark.
No! This is the second time HasTak has dropped the ball on Triple Takeover references! How Blitzwing's Titanmaster from TR wasn't the football coach is beyond me!
