So the theft of the Golden Disk was Heroic Shockwave's fault?
Oh, didn't you know? Beast Wars Megatron is Shockwave. Purple body, blaster arm, leader-like, evil genius, thinks he's better than G1 Megatron, etc.

First pic. You can see some of the differences, 6 rods instead of 5, Bumblebee's face, more paint on Wheeljack, Jazz is gray instead of silver, etc.
Not bad, though I had been hoping for a 'no clear parts' version simply for durability, like the 'Retro' repaints of Bumblebee and Gears coming out.
I don't think TakaraTomy ever goes that route when they do animation accuracy. As far as I can remember that's a Hasbro only thing. I'd be happy to be proven wrong if I'm not thinking of any though.
I suppose the big question is, will this new set have anything on the box that helps us with unit conversion? Because it's been four decades and I'm still not sure how many Cortex to the Vorn, or Vorn to pounds sterling, or how the Canadian Dollar factors in any of this.
I like the changes to Wheeljack (mainly the less green-seeming chest windshield), but a lot will come down to how much this ends up being. One Voyager, two Deluxes; this may be the "smallest" set yet, which would be good. When is this due out? I guess I can just skip the Legacy United Bee, and wait to get this.
Price still pending, I want it. These three are what I wish Siege had been in the first place.
Same. I liked a lot of what we did get, but when the stuff was first announced I was disappointed that it wasn't more inventive or Cybertronian (drawing from the brand's decades of Cybertronian designs). And then Earthrise came along and proved that yup, Siege was all just "Earth modes but with some weird bits and 220% more greenling." The Siege Seekers came the closest, but I still want a proper curved-surface tetrajet that results in the cartoon model robot mode. Make it as much of a shellformer, fine, but have the legs... not hang in a blob underneath.
Still, I'm glad we eventually started to get these. I still remember when Origin Bee was announced -- well after Siege (partway into Kingdom iirc), well after the line had moved on to Earth modes and all that, including Bumblebee's multiple times -- and some goober was all "aha, I called it, Siege would have this Cybertronian mode Bumblebee".
But then, it's not his first language, maybe he thought "called" meant "wished for".

I think it was "Quartex" not "Cortex" and implies 25% of.. something?
They go up for preorder in about a day and a half. I would guess these will be out in the Fall, probably September.
And maybe don't slice the top off this time. They literally missed the point.
