I honestly thought about picking up 2 when they first were announced, but I have way too much on preorder right now to justify socking another $300 into a duplicate.

I'd love to get two, but I've started only getting one of most things, as often, the 'spare parts' concept didn't actually work out long term, and if something does break, it can by that point often be sold for at least original cost if not for a profit as 'non-mint' so someone who has more money than I do can fix up theirs with a different problem, and it lets me thin things out as I get older.

Besides, I am one of those who likes to shuffle things around for interest, so actually transforming my Transformers accomplishes keeping things fresh without having to buy yet another thing, so any 'spare' will just wind up sitting in a box unused. This is why in the 'combined vs. separate' or 'robot vs. alt mode' debates my vote is always "Yes."

Update video with some added improvements to the model:

Things that were added:

Panels on Leozak that cover his head in jet mode and screw holes in combined mode

Changed mounting of chest animals so that the 5mm peg is no longer sticking out of the robot chests when they are not attached

Jet intakes are now mounted differently on the arm-bots so that they no longer hang down and get in the way of the combiner biceps

Hip piece will look a bit more like a missile pod when mounted on Jaruga

Drillhorn and Killbison now have wheels

Deathcobra now has thigh swivels and mounting points for all the chest animals in shoulder gun mode.

"...Drillhorn and Killbison now have wheels...

Hey kids, remember when ALL toys with caterpillar tracks actually moved or at least had wheels? Relive those days by paying around 500 dollars for a limited edition toy!

In the video, they do mention that the wheels were always planned, just hadn't gotten onto the models yet until now. They stressed that this, like all Haslabs, is still very much an "in-design" project and that what you get at the end is always at least as good and usually better than the early models that they show during the funding phase.

The way it sounded to me was "These were planned from the start, we weren't 100% that'd we'd be able to add them, but they were one of our top priorities as we continue to revise the design."

The rolling ones can roll more, the jets are jettier, the insane mega cannon is canon, the missile pod is the podiest, and the snozzberries taste like snozzberries. All around great news!

Which is a real problem as I wanted something to rant and complain about...I am deeply offended that they did nothing to deeply offend me!

Isn't pretty much everything more expensive in Japan, in general?
