You remember that far back? What's that even like?
You could walk out the front door and be completely unreacheable. From sun rise to sun set, no one knew where you were, what you were doing, who you were with, if you even still alive till you walked back through the door... and it was completely normal.

I remember back in '95, I was days away from 13, it was a hot miserable late august day: I just went out the front door, and walked up to the local mall. I spent two hours wandering back and forth from the bay to sears and back again, just reveling in the air conditioning. Then I went home. No one even noticed I had left. Hell, my mother only asked where I had been because it was legal to smoke inside back then: and I reeked of it just from walking around.

Ah memories. As a kid in the 80s I was never one to wander too far. My friends that were within walking distance all lived on my street. There was a corner store right on the far end of my street which was the only place I would walk without getting permission. There was a library, small park and mall a few blocks off but I would absolutely tell someone before doing that.

My little brother though, HE would just disappear into the neighborhood without a trace. Like he never existed. Then it would be my job to find him and bring him home. I remember many times when I was absolutely sure he had been kidnapped and/or murdered cause the kid was just gone and I would wander the neighborhood yelling his name and filled with anxiety. Fun.

-ZacWilliam, usually he would have gone into some random friends house to play I think, whereas me and my friends were completely outdoor kids.

New Eternia feels like it's going off the rails a bit, doesn't it? We've gone from "Give Zodak some cool optional shoulder armour" to "make Robotto a killer terminator robot", "make Fisto have a non optional all metal arm and also he's not a ginger anymore for some reason", & "King Randor's bald now". At least it all still LOOKS cool, but.

I have noticed a trend with the New Eternia releases: other than the endless He-Man and Skeletor variants, it is largely characters who are dead in the Revelation-verse (Evil-lyn is the main exception, but she is set up for a major redesign anyway). What that portends for a potential third round of animation and accompanying toyline? Your guess is as good as mine.

I got a couple things from Amazon.

They didn't have a bluray version unfortunately. But still, it's the whole series for $11. So not bad.

Like I really needed yet another Hordak in my collection. But this one looked too cool to pass up.

Comparison with Buzzsaw Hordak, which will always be my favorite Hordak. But the new one still looks pretty cool.

That’s been one of my favorite things about this crossover: it has REALLY allowed the Mattel designers to flex some creative muscle that is all too rare in these legacy brands.
My overall enthusiasm dampened considerably after the store exclusive fiascos of this past year, but there are still some sold entries coming.

I got Hordak in my POL at BBTS, but I’m also planning to get Rattlor, Clamp Champ and Mekanek. Those last two feel like leftovers from the 2004 Snakemen angle, and I’m all here for it. Raphael caught my eye thanks to his weird, roundabout way, of evoking the 1995 Jim Lee figure

You see, I bought it. It was delivered. But I've been so caught up MMO Raiding that I still haven't started watching it. I really should try to give it a start sometime this week. I haven't watched it since it came out on Netflix.
