He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

It just hit me, of what feels like the logic behind this is. An animated Joker voiced Skeletor in the new animated series, and that was received well. So obviously they had to hire a live action Joker for the Live action movie. Nicholson is too old, Ledger is too dead, Phoenix just bombed big time, so there's only one "big name" Joker left.

While that does make an alarming kind of since, Phoenix only bombed in one of two of his movies. The other was very highly regarded. Between Joker, Morbius... feel like I'm forgetting one...but Leto has been box office poison.

I may watch it if it's free to stream on Amazon just out of sheer morbid curiosity. But any positive expectations just went out the window.

As I said, he just bombed. But that bomb kinda taints his whole Joker. The only one Live Action Joker I can think of, that was a major character; is the one from Gotham who could never actually be called Joker. But he doesn't have the same draw. And Leto is only poison to geek stuff, Leto was in 'House of Gucci' from just a few years ago which is generally considered to be a good movie and one of his best. He was also in Fight Club and American Psycho, both well received movies.

Just did an IMDB search. That was also him in Requiem For a Dream. It's one of those movies you only ever want to watch once. Great movie, but once is enough.

And I'll be honest, no one looked good in Suicide Squad. No one looked good in Batman and Robin, but looking at the names that stared in it, I find it hard to put a whole lot of blame on the actors.

Don't get me wrong. I still have a sour feeling in the pit of my stomach just hearing Jared's name put to this. But it's also the same guy who did Bumblebee...the one live action TF movie I actually enjoyed.

I don't know. I stand by my previous statements about my hopes for this being killed. But maybe...just maybe...

Well, can't bring myself to even type the rest of that hopeful platitude. But if it's free to stream on Amazon, I may watch it just out of curiosity.

I really hope that isn't the logic, because something that stupid makes me lose hope for any other aspect of the movie coming from under such an umbrella of decision making.

Well, I managed to get a slight bit ahead and I had been looking at Vypor and Necro-Conda for a long time. I did actually order one of Vypor and two of the glow-snakes.

I am very happy with 2/3 of the purchase, and I can't complain at all about BBTS customer service. Vypor is great, but (and this is entirely Mattel) both Necro-Condas had issues. In one case a malformed arm joint was broken in-package. The other has a defective waist that falls apart if poked. I contacted BBTS asking if I could potentially get a spare arm, thinking I can probably figure out the rest, but they just gave me store credit on one of the Necro-condas and said I did not need to return the broken one. So I built one good solid one from the set and I am keeping the other as parts (what ones are still good anyway). I also hair-dryered one of the glow-belts to fit on the snake tail because for some reason, they don't fit at all out of the box. So now I have two lower torsos, one legs one tail, both with the armor.

The weapons were clearly cast with intent to glow in the dark, but do NOT have the actual glow chemical in the plastic. They're the right color, but missing the ability.

So end result: I gave Vypor the silver snake staff from the Infiltrator Guard, as it looked better with him. I have a really great glow in the dark snake man. And I have some useful parts for ideas later. I am very happy with the resolution. But I also think this may be my last MOTU Origins purchase at normal price, because had it BEEN really normal price, it would have been largely a waste. I've heard many others having similar issues with the NecroConda and the Mattel Creations stuff seems to have an iffy reputation too. I may just hold onto that store credit for when my last preorder I have comes in (water bug models I was going to use professionally), as I'm not sure there's much point in getting another of the same snake if 2 of 2 had errors that could only be fixed by making one out of them.
