It's almost as if a majority of the population actually support economically left views, they have just been convinced by talking heads that they don't. The more income inequality hurts the lower and middle class, the more Fox News viewers will start to wake up. The rampant greed in the medical industry(it's NOT just the insurance companies to blame) might just be the flashpoint, since it's an expense NO ONE can escape in this country unless you are very wealthy. The enemy isn't migrant workers, it's not trans people, it's unrestricted capitalism and its undue influence on our government.
I have a hard time believing the same kind of people who voted for one of the world's most hated billionaires to be the leader of the free world, three times in a row, are now unironically cheering on the murder of a CEO against the advisement of all of their media outlets of choice. Are we sure this is representative of his regular viewers, and not just the result of getting dogpiled by the army of hate-watching trolls a guy like Bench Appearo definitely has?
I mean, basically every analysis of why people voted for that asshole basically concludes "many people hold a perception of who he is has no relation to what he's actually like, or to anything he's ever said or done".
People believed that he'd be good for the working class, even though he's rarely even tried to appeal to them.
People believed he'd bring prices down, even though he outright said he'd raise tariffs and anyone who knows how tariffs works knows that would raise prices.
Trump has a cult of personality around himself specifically; it doesn't extend to other people who are similar to him.
