Started the day at a flea market, where I found a Machine Wars Optimus (along with some other treasures) and finished the day off with the anniversary showing of the Fifth Element at the fancy theater.
Cool little Godzilla fig! Also, I think I may have had some of that Viewmaster set! Nice finds!
Megatron's worse nightmare, not one Optimus, not two, but a whole lot of them and they are doing their morning routine of T poses!!

It's flawed (and I probably will get one of those 3P upgrade swords), but it's really cool to see what they managed with Magmatron. Commander class seems to shine with a challenge.

I got Magmatron recently and he's easily one of my favorite Commanders, next to only Sky Lynx. There are some Masterpiece-esque stuff in Commander Class, like Prime and Magnus, and maybe even Rodimus, who have some really impressive engineering and transformations. But Commanders really seem to shine, least for me, is when they're really trying to be something more. Characters that feel like they can only be accurately done at a scale like this nowadays.
I'm never going to trust stock photos again, because Magmatron's colors look miles better than what was initially shown.
honestly i don't know if i'd say magmatron dethrones armada optimus (the only other commander i have...if you don't count the ss86 optimus that is in the house but that's my christmas present so it's literally wrapped up and with the other presents right now) because like...my childhood attachment to armada prime does play a major factor in how much i like the figure vs 'character from a series i still haven't actually watched') but like...he sure is goddamn fun regardless.

I technically own them all but Motormaster, but have played with my friends and I'll likely get one once the G2 version is released, and SS86 Optimus who is also my christmas gift. I won't deny that personal feelings can play a big part in how someone ranks these guys. Armada wasn't my childhood, but I still have very strong fondness for the entire UT line. They hit at the right time in my life that I have almost the same fondness for them as I do G1, so Armada Prime was someone I jumped at when I was able to afford him. Got him and Magmatron within weeks of each other due to my birthday last month. So its not like Magmatron is just the "new hotness" to me.
Armada Prime is very good, but he's kinda like Jetfire to me. In that he feels very... standard at this price point. He's exactly as good as I expected him to be. Which honestly isn't a bad thing, because so far Commander Class' standard is still a very high bar. But Armada Prime is just
