Random Thoughts From Out of Nowhere

I guess that's what you call, cold calling? 😁

At least you found it, that's the main thing!

I had some lights for my Lego model arrive today and as I try to install it, wouldn't you know it, the model top collapses, forcing me to rebuild the top area and restall the lights that were already there as some of the original ones, had failed, while removed already, I was busy trying to install the new lights to this part and I haven't finished, yet, pretty much finished the rebuild, just got to put the last of the original lights back in, rebuild the chimney after I took out the lighting block that came with the kit as its not needed any more as its getting replaced by a seperate and when I'm done, I'll have a board stored inside of the chimmey, out of sight, its just been a pain rebuilding the model upper level, the kit in question, is the Apline Lodge!

I misplace things frequently. Sometimes it's the classic "glasses on head while looking for them" or "looking for cell while holding it." At least those don't take me too long to realize it. This is the first time I've left an item in the fridge that has zero business being there.

People like to jive on the Ultimates but it was a neat take on The Avengers (ignore the 3rd installment, Marvel sure does). Sure everyone was an asshole but to be fair, that just fits with their vision of a more realistic superhero team. Jingoist Cap isn't gonna be the definitive version but we have 616's paragon of virtue for that.

Decided to rewatch The Batman, the early 2000's cartoon. This is really good. It gets a bit of a knock on its reputation for not being BTAS but it's top-notch stuff in artstyle, music and voice acting. Plot's decent as well. My only problem is that whenever the Joker shows up, he reminds me too much of the principal from American Dad.

I think my interst in TF is waning a bit as lately I've been more towards Lego, but then it might be because I've been focused on a single custom model I'm working on, well expanding upon a existing kit, adding lighting, thou the base is currently a mess ready to be reset once the parts I ordered the other day arrive, hopefully when I'm done, it will look nice as a christmas setup thou I'm kind of planning to have a little area given over to a UFO alien mini base, for a bit of fun, but I'll see in due course

Just watched a ep of a classic sci-if show turning 60 this year:

THUNDERBIRDS, honestly despite the fact it was made about 60 years ago, it holds up very well, mixing remote control models, puppets and the odd bit of real people combined with great music and story direction that puts a lot of today's shows with their massive budgets to shame

Thunderbirds is good; I like Stingray and Captain Scarlet better. If you can get past the marionettes (some people can't), they're pretty good stories!

I can't. It's too weird for me.

I know Thunderbirds & Captian Scarlet had more modern verisons done using CGI, thou I know that the Thunderbirds one was a blend of CGI & models and its actually a desent show for the most part, its not a sequel but more of a reimagining with a few liberties taken to bring things into the modern era, such as the miltray being aware of of the idenities of the Thunderbirds pilots and where they are based, thou the biggest change is to Thunderbird 5 in regards to its desgin and they no longer have to send up TB3 to swap people in control as they have a means of transporting the controller to and from TB5!
