If it's not obvious, the prototype colored Arcee has a head based on her outdated model while the cartoon version has the finalized character model style head.
Why not? It never made it to market, that could be how it would have looked between that prototype and release, had it made it that far.I know there are people who will want the cartoon deco. That's apparent.
I just don't understand why![]()
That's the big thing for me. We know that the toys for the movie characters were developed early on and didn't fully match the final movie designs. However, none of them deviated as far as the Arcee prototype. Galvatron comes the closest, but that's more a case of using a different layout of the same basic colors. The orange just makes her not really look like Arcee. I never really liked the prototype because of that, and I would have hoped it would have changed if it ever had gone to market. Why not? It never made it to market, that could be how it would have looked between that prototype and release, had it made it that far.
On a broader level the appeal of ML is, for me at least, extreme toyetic-ness.Why not? It never made it to market, that could be how it would have looked between that prototype and release, had it made it that far.
Why does the pink one have Texaco logos on her shoulders?
Arcee's colors could have been revised to match the animation colors had the toy come out. But I'd give it the same chance as Hot Rod, Kup, Ultra Magnus, Springer, and Galvatron getting their colors fixed before their toys came out. It didn't happen.
That pink arcee is so bought!![]()
The pink one is definitely going for the "this is how she would have looked in 1986 if she were released" with the stickers added to her. While the orange one is going for a straight recreation of the prototype and not as if she were released as a toy, other than the rub symbol. They're both extremely lovely.

But why Texaco logos?Because an 86 toy version would absolutely had stickers there to cover the screw holes.
Dare I say that Arcee is better than the recently released versions of that character?
