The story of an idol who came back home:
When I just walked to my local 7-11, I saw a woman in her 30's dressed almost exactly like her, parasol and all.
Between the ringer for Monika that you previously mentioned and now this woman dressed in the same style as Miley, it sounds like you live in an interesting area....
Japan, especially Tokyo and nearby areas is quite an eclectic area.
Youogi park in Tokyo is often home to Japanese "lolita" (similar to "Miley") and rockabilly dancers

It's.... not quite what I was expecting for October themes, but with tec seemingly absent from his own thread, I can't see why it wouldn't count.
Motorbike cosplay, we'll call it.
Besides, it'll be hard to top my effort last year.

Gunpla are everywhere in Japan. You don't need to go to Akiba to get them, as any toy department in department stores over here have them. Convenience stores also stock them as well.
Yeah, saw them in a few places. Sadly didn't get a chance to visit a Gundam Base, since we lost a day and a half to a tsunami. Maybe one day, if we get a chance to visit again.
My girlfriend didn't place this time, but here's a photo of her and the other ladies in the 50 - 59 age group.
