It is interesting to watch all of them together. Melania, Ivanka, and Don Jr can tune it out and go inside their heads. Tiffany doesn't seem to mind being there. Eric is paying close attention, seldom looking away from the speaker.
Donald doesn't enjoy inside his head, so he's not going in there. I think his demeanor is pretty typical of people who have to sit through a sermon involuntarily. He doesn't go to Church. He doesn't want to be there. He doesn't want to hear what this lady has to day. But he doesn't have anything to do and he's miserable. Add on that it is very hard for a narcissist to endure criticism and she skirts in on that. I don't think he has an active thought life, so he can't just start thinking about something he read earlier. He's just pinned on a pew.
I accidentally clicked a link it gives at the end that has different cameras. Vance is on the other side of Melania and he gives Donald a bit of side eye, probably trying to gauge Trump's reaction without drawing too much attention. For most of it, Vance look like he is enduring a scolding and trying not to get in worse trouble.
I typically have thought of Melania was someone who married him for his money and despises him and is embarrassed by him, but watching this it does appear that she likes him.
At 9 minutes, the service is over and reporters catch Donald outside. They ask what he thought of the service and his answer is quintessential Donald. "What did YOU think? Did you like it? Did you find it exciting?.....Not too exciting, was it? I didn't think it was a good service, no. Thank you very much. They could do much better"
Perhaps when the economy and immigration and the wars are all fixed, he will have time next week to fix Church.
Edit - I wouldn't have cast Tig Notaro in this role, but she brought it off well as always.
