And it is just mean to service techs. Someone who spends $100k on an electric truck that can't really carry anything and looks like Cybertron Defense DeLorean is not opening the hood themselves.

There's not a motor under that hood, it's extra storage. Wouldn't be the service techs, would be their housekeeper getting the groceries out of it.

The acquisition plan was set in motion by the Biden administration last year as part of a move to convert the Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s fleet of roughly 3,000 armored vehicles into zero-emission electric vehicles by 2035.
[...]
According to the State Department, only a single company responded to last year’s request for information—Tesla—and there are currently no plans for the award to continue.

It's going to be a long four years. Take the initial reporting of absolutely every story with a mountain of salt.

Yup. It's going to become increasingly difficult to get accurate news internally. The post-truth era is ramping up the disinformation to a disastrous degree.

They want to introduce apartheid to America, don’t they? There’s no hiding it.

Remember when conservatives lampooned "suburban soccer moms"? It turns out they're generally conservative. Remember when conservatives lampooned ignorant anti-science anti-vaxxers? It turns out they're generally conservative too. Remember when conservatives lampooned "Karens"? It turns out that that they're generally super-conservative.

Conservatives have a pattern of mocking and lampooning "liberal" social groups which turn out to be very conservative.

So I don't know how many times Trump mentioned eggs during the campaign. I googled, hoping someone had some kind of count, but I'm not going to do too much work to get the answer. He did pledge on more than one occasion that he was bringing the price of eggs down on Day 1.

I don't blame him for not doing that. I blame him for claiming he could. And he didn't cause a bird flu outbreak. It's just an example of the bad luck that someone who claims personal responsibility for the economy can get into.

I saved a screenshot on my phone and might upload later, but I can't do it now. A lady posted that FEMA used their money to house illegal immigrants and that's why they didn't have money when a disaster happened. I didn't know anything about this talking point, but someone else said that what the issue was incorrectly characterized. The money had come from Border Patrol but had gone through FEMA's account because of how money needed to be handled and in any case FEMA never ran out of money. There was no disaster that they weren't able to work on. To defend Tina from this factcheck, Cody rebutted with the astute fact that this other person was a sheep. "They don't get it. They brainwashed to the point of no return. Their leaders have them focused on eggs. And sheep listen, so they are focused on eggs. You could hit them in the fact with facts and they would be like 'but eggs are up to $1.25' They worried about quarters. Not millions. Trump ending the DOE because half's are idiots" There are no replies about eggs. Cody has just noticed that Democrat sheep are really preoccupied with the price of eggs. Cody thinks they may have gone as high as $1.25 and is that really a big deal?

In June that year, Lee replied “Gosh, this is amazing” to a post that claimed the message of Pride Month is “satanic.” Earlier that year, he posted a meme insinuating that public school teachers influence children to change their gender identity. Replying to his own post, he tagged the account of Gov. Spencer Cox.

When The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints apologized for a church leader and Brigham Young University professor making insensitive comments about its previous practice of banning Black men from receiving the priesthood, Lee tweeted, “BYU is a progressive cesspool now.”
What a piece of jive.

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

H.R. 1395 - To amend title 5, United States Code, to designate Trump's Birthday and Flag Day as a legal public holiday.

This is the first holiday that I'll insist on not getting the day off from work.

None of these bills they're proposing will pass. I suspect the main goal (other than "Hey Trump, look at me!") is to clog up the schedule with nonsense so Congress can't effectively mount any degree of pushback against DOGE.
