I have a soft spot for Evangelion, but it is definitely overrated for what it is: an Ultraman knockoff. (Except for Jet Alone, which knocks off Jet Jaguar, obv) It's got its enjoyable moments, but there are too many similarities to common Ultraman tropes and quirks to ignore the clear influence...

We recently had a discussion about underrated anime, anybody care to share what they consider to be overrated anime? Mine would be Akira. Kaneda and his bike are certainly iconic anime imagery, and I get how it was a groundbreaking film at the time, but the movie just didn't impress me or draw...

I am in agreement with G.B., I think there's a very fine line in Who between 'companion' and 'recurring character'. Take The Brigadier, for instance: appeared in several seasons, alongside several Doctors, and is someone I think the Doctor would consider a good friend. But was he a companion...

We have a coffee chain here ( idk how far out they go, didn't see any in Indiana or east) called Scooters; they celebrated national coffee day ALL MONTH by offering any size brewed coffee for free on-demand. I drank a lot of Scooters coffee this month. Today is the last day for that, though. 😭
